I’m a Trump supporter but if I took anything from last night it’s how different he is as a candidate now vs 2016.

2016 Trump was high energy, fresh, and novel. He was an unknown quantity. When he said he’d put Hillary in jail, we’d never seen anything like that before. Likewise with the nicknames- Lyin Ted, Little Marco Rubio etc.

Today it comes across completely different. He’s essentially a one trick pony and we’ve seen the same show for 4 years now. His interrupting Biden, the one liners, it all seems flat now; played out. He looks tired. After 4 seasons of The Donald, the script has gotten stale and he can’t excite like he used to. I had my suspicions before but last night just confirmed it.

To be clear, I’m still voting for him, still a trump supporter. But this is definitely not 2016.

Wallace was really annoying. Could have handled it much better, he just came off as pathetic. Also, what was with the lack of rebuttals? They had the questions followed by "open discussion" but it didn't work at all, they didn't have clean opportunities to counter the other side's points.
