Literally none of Mark Cuban's businesses ever made any money. They still don't make any money, The Mavericks lose millions a year. He managed to convince a company to buy him out at several billion dollars during the dot com bubble.

Mark Cuban is an idiot but a fun and nice guy to watch. That said, he's partially wrong about buying and holding (depends on the investor and the investment), but he is right on diversification. Almost all of the best investors of all time only held 3-10 or so stocks, maybe 15. Diversification while trying to beat the market is fucking stupid because you just turn into an index fund.
