Market drop. Maybe 3-15% but that's a long range. I think Biden may win, unfortunate as it is. This isn't your business, but a mere reflection of what I'm doing, as I find it wise.

I plan on de-leveraging almost entirely by Nov. 4 or whenever the election is. Dec. 31 is the day REITs may some be safe to buy in again, pending eviction numbers. But the volatility I would like to play, and may very well, though lesser in December (personal reasons).

So like this, if eviction numbers are presumed to be bad, buy after bottom stabilization. If Trump wins election, okay, cool. If Biden, get ready to short gun stocks.

Nah, you gotta look up "Moving Forward Act" pg. 2000 indicates USPS will be expected to electrify a huge portion of its fleet, by a certain date. If you look at historical trends, that means adoption starts now, and most probably in volume. And that's actually $6bn in type in that bill, mind you. Having said that it won't necessarily pan out that way, but there's a great deal of interest. Perhaps more importantly is there are 15 states with CA included modeling a system after CA's to advance municipal systems into electrification. There's actually a great deal of interest in forwarding this shit on the DNC side. And the GOP is going to be equally interested because it's an American made brand with domestic assembly. The bipartisan factors in there are creating jobs and advancing the nation and infrastructure.

Insofar as installation costs are concerned there's plenty of govbux on offer to help remedy that. Not to mention the cost to run those trucks is less than half of a comparable ICE per mile. The electric design is highly complementary to their duty cycle as well, since they stop start and idle over and over again. The only thing that's really holding them back is the northern states which are also among the least populated. There's intrinsic range limits in extreme cold weather that many of the northern states suffer, so that will be a consideration. WKHS just put out a public announcement indicating they expanded range pretty drastically though, so it's hard to say. The average route is actually a fraction of their range but without going into the extreme microcosm of detailed research I can't say with confidence the trucks can deliver a 100% coverage of the US.

I don't know what to expect from the contract, though.

There's an interview with the CFO on Youtube, sounds like their partnership with Hitachi can allow them to ramp up production pretty quick (supply chain, logistics, even sales), so I don't know that they'll need much in the way of outside assistance in manufacturing, but I don't think it's out of the question later down the line if they're failing to produce the numbers demanded. USPS has indicated a window of 5-7yrs to satisfy the contractual demands, so I'd say they hypothetically could manage themselves, but things like this are wont to be delayed so it's really a who the fuck knows situation.

And what designates a difference between capital gains and short term gains? May be different in your country as well.
Probably nothing though. Moving into dividend stocks isn't worth it until you've reached at least $1million USD and frankly, I think even that is very low. You need to find other more aggressive strategies to get that number up and then once you've achieved it you can park it in dividends.

why are you so obsessed over shilling your value trap
stop being so emotionally attached to your pick
if you think you found deep value instead of a value trap, then good for you but no one gives a shit about the steel/iron industry when other sectors are more surefire for future growth prospects.

either way, it doesn't change the fact that you tried to shill CLF with price memory bullshit. They diluted their stocks for the acquistion, their debt is almost as big as NUE's debt despite a fifth of their market cap, never mind the cash. What are the future prospects of iron/steel besides a momentary spike on iron ore prices from tensions/covid? You keep spouting its revenues but you never mention anything about their actual margins and profits. Like i'm sure there are probably some good things about it, but the way you're sharing DD is absolutely retarded and all it's telling me is that it's a value trap

if there's one thing I've learned about the stock market, it's to do the opposite of what you fags tell me.
At the start of the year I didnt know what stock was. Asked you fags for advice and got a stock that didnt go anywhere. Finally got rid of it and instead bought stocks you fags called me a retard for. Im now... somewhere under 3x of my initial investment. Just on simple stock buys, I dont even fuckin know what put/call/short even are. And it will keep going up beyond 3x because im all in on SPCE currently.

>when you 401k says Pre-tax
Contributions to various retirement accounts are generally either pre-tax, or after-tax. Pre-tax means that you contributed the money before you paid tax on it. That is, it is income, but deductible income - you pay no tax in the year you earned the income. It then generally grows tax-free, and is only taxed once you take it out.
After-tax contributions are contributions made with money you already paid tax on. The benefit is that they grow tax-free, and are not taxed when you take it out. It is perfectly possible to have both pre-tax and after-tax contributions in the same exact retirement account. In your specific case, I would call whoever is holding the 401k for you, play dumb, and ask lots of questions. They will hopefully answer the questions and tell you at what point they can't answer any more because they can't provide tax or financial advice.

It's a Jewish thing, where they believe that by sacrificing a goat/sheep after placing their sins on the goat cleanses their sins away, which they do every year as part of a blood ritual on yom kippur: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Azazel

Literally a blood ritual that Jesus stepped in for. There is even ancient texts where 2nd or 3rd generation Christians said that while they still sacrificed the goat, it was only for traditional reasons and not for religious reasons anymore, because Jesus was the lamb of god.

He is the savior of sheep and goats, basically because Christians no longer have to kill them in a blood ritual to cleanse their sin. That is where all the lamb of god symbolism comes from when Jesus talked about it, because it was understood that blood sacrifices had to be made to cleanse Jews of their sins.

You're going to have to pay the tax man either as it comes in or it goes out.

That's the eternal question though. Tax rates vs. your own, individualized, expected income over time, which to some extent you can control, but which most people want more of, no matter what. In any case, the original Roth 401k anon was too dogmatic.

>> No.22910538

>>22910449
The "100% Roth" dogmatic retards also don't understand that in retirement, you no longer have steady income. Your expenses dictate what gets reported as taxable income. If you have the right mix of accounts, you can take up to $80k or so without paying any taxes. A 401k is necessary for this strategy, since you use some of that tax space to convert it to Roth up through the 12% bracket.

My marginal tax rate is 33% right now, even if taxes on the lower brackets (i.e. poor people) double which won't happen, I'll still be saving money by doing 401k.

I'm about to the point of only contributing the minimum. Too many rules and regs and ways for politicians to fuck you up.

>> No.22910841

>>22910606
I mean if you're worried about politics changing the rules of how 401ks are treated, I don't see why the same wouldn't/couldn't happen with Roths.

IMO it's unlikely to happen as touching everyone's retirement accounts would be political suicide. I think it's plausible that a wealth tax on balances above a certain threshold like $5M or so that a "regular Joe" would never accumulate, but that doesn't affect me.

>> No.22911032
