You have a child's mindset.

You've spent your life as a child thinking in terms of what is allowed and not allowed. You had no agency of your own, only what your parents and teachers permitted to happen. If there was a problem, you had to report it and wait for it to be fixed by someone else. If you took your own initiative you were punished. Want to go see what's in that other street? Punished. Want to spend your money on sweets? Punished. Want to go run off in the woods? Punished. When to eat, when to sleep, what to wear is all decided for you. Your life consisted waiting for instructions and staying within the confines of rigid rules.

You are now (presumably) older, but you're still thinking in these terms. You were told to go and work a respectable wagie job. You were told you had to work hard and would get a stable salary for it. Then you see Jeff Bezos doing the equivalent of eating ice cream for breakfast and trading his pocket money to see Jenny Slater's peepee. How is this allowed?! Those aren't the rules!

But you're a grown man now and so is Jeff Bezos. I'm not saying multi-billionaires are a good or bad thing, or whether anybody should stop them or not. I'm telling you you're going to have a miserable life of resentment if you think this way. You're going to work a miserable wagie job, marry some bitchy harpy with some other guy's cum on her breath, have kids who hate you and work until you're 93 because you think it's what you're supposed to be doing. You're going to be resentful that other people aren't following the same rules and that you aren't rewarded for it in the way you were as a kid.

Stop focusing on what Jeff should /shouldn't be allowed to do. Start by setting your priorities on what YOU want out of life and what YOU can do to get them.
