Agreed anon school made my life miserable. Little things like book fairs to get away from the daily routine were really nice

>> No.22874373

Nah, school was nice I guess but it's better to be an adult by far. I won't sacrifice freedom for comfort, because being an adult gives you the opportunity to have both.

I refuse to embrace a manchild lifestyle but being an adult is miserable. My biggest fear isn’t that I won’t make it, it’s that money won’t help to stymie the worst aspects of this shit life as much as I hope it will

You will always be at that school fair. Einstein proved if you had the ability to teleport yourself to any point in space and had a telescope powerful enough you could watch the dinosaurs on Earth.

once a year for grades 3-5 my elementary school held a student book fair where every kid set up shop in the hallway and bought each other's books. i was an avid reader so i had more than a few sold. lots of fun to be had trying to convince other kids to buy my books, i even sold a few series in bulk. good shit.

I don't miss my childhood. It was a lot of alcoholic abuse and physical violence from my parents, some sexual assaults thrown in, and a lot of bad memories.

I'm 25 now, and I'm a lot happier now that I don't talk to ANYBODY I knew from my home town or from high school. The small town mentality sticks among the people who never leave, and they'll always see you as that same person you were years ago, no matter how much you change before them.

Don't bask in nostalgia over the past. Bask in the excitement of the potential of your future.

I never studied in school and high school, I always got excellent grades with literally no effort, everyone around me told me over and over how smart I was for my grades, and I wondered, if I'm smart is because they're retarded?
