I woke up today and decided I'm exiting crypto. It's a shitshow.

I got in earlier this year after being away for a while. I knew about Bitcoin since 2011. Every attempt to make money, I always fucked up.
One of my best calls was LINK. I accumulated 20k and lost is while trying to get more. Decided to hold QASH for 2 years and nothing happened. This year I finally started trading again and have gotten absolutely fucking no where.

FalconSwap was a failure

all of which I thought were amazing at one point.

Everything turns to shit. My account dropped to almost $1000 from an all time high of over $20k this year while holding AMPL.

Now I'm down to $5500 and my nerves are just tired of this circus.

My account touched $20k while riding the Ampleforth bull, I had 10x'd and told myself that chart is never sustainable, but didn't figure the fucking team would dump $30m worth out of nowhere, so that ATH was very brief and the excitement of the daily increase in my account value had me blind to risk. I had no idea the team was going to be such filth. Looking back now, it was so it was a worthless ponzi shitcoin, one of the biggest scams and jokes in all of crypto history. After that, I fucked around with other stupid coins, many of which almost wiped out my account. None of which really ended up being anything special. I'm burned out from this nonsense. Bitcoin is probably too late for OP and anyone that is starting now. You could possibly squeeze a 10-20x out of it in the next decade, but combined with the risk involved its not the most appealing option. Link is still relatively early, it hasn't even come close to accomplishing what its set out to yet (DeFi is a meme), and there are strong indications they intend to bridge that gap but it could take years. Most of crypto is scams, but if you can identify that and just sit in the few legitimate projects, and have even an ounce of patience, you can far outperform any sort of traditional investments.

The problem is people see bitcoin pennies to thousands, forget it took a decade to do that, and just want to replicate that within a year.

I made 3x on ESH but decided to hold for the Ghost snapshot and ended up breaking even because ESH dumped so much.
I lost a little bit on Statera because of the hack which caused it to dump to almost $0, luckily I was a liquidity provider so my loss was very minimal.
I bought Ample after that and made probably 15x-20x at my peak, then the gay ass team dumped like fucking crazy.
Finally give up on the idea that AMPL will do anything great, which took weeks for me to realize. There is still a lot of activity in DeFi, so I'm mostly observing farm scams and just analyzing. Some coins look interesting and I dabble in them, but get no where, and escape some of them before huge crashes that would've wiped me out. Perfect example would be HAI. Then I reconsider FSW after writing it off initially. Waited weeks just to find out it wasn't what we were led to believe. I don't see a future for it at this point, only a pump which isn't worth the risk. So what's next? It just seems everything ends up being not what I expect and since I'm not having luck like you, there is no point in continuing.
