Ok, so let's brainstorm about medium term investments.
I think there's a (bigger than commonly expected) probability that Spain and France will go into total lockdown. What should we short from there? Anyone from those countries willing to chime in?
Also, the same for the UK, but in the UK I think a safe short would (unironically) be REITs, but on a longer term, but there probably isn't a way to short them for retail investors. Maybe a fancy supermarket brand like Waitrose and Sainsbury's will also take a beating.

In the US, I think we should short electronic consumer physical retail, because there will be riots in November and most of those physical locations are going under after such a terrible year. What are some chains to short, based on that (basically places that sell tvs and whatnot in a physical location, not online)?
