I'm a /biz/ fag developing tokens so I can tell you what my perspective is.
I am poor and my community has become lazy, so my best option at marketing is to come to /biz/, make memes and post threads and replies to threads that I think are at least tangentially relevant to my token or somewhere that seems to be appropriate for shilling.

From my experience with my first token, it was co-opted by a pump and dump group,shilled to the high heaven on here (5+ posts on page 1 with many replies in each, pump and dump group was able to somewhat semi-organically keep those alive for hours and hours).

So if you see a token is shilled with unusual volume, it's probably about to get dumped. If you see shit in those threads like "haha first weak-hands whale is out", it's already too late, because that was the pump and dumpers taking profit.

Look for mentions of a token where the poster clearly speaks proper English that has low volume shilling, at least, that's how you could find my tokens and I'm trying my best.

Most of these coin creators will wait for enough people to buy them, then withdraw their liquidity from Uniswap, and therefore your ETH. That's why liquidity locking through something like Unicrypt is important.
Another way they can do this is by including a mint function in the contract that can be called at will, then minting an infinite number of coins and market selling them for ETH. This dumps the price and gets them your ETH. While all token contracts contain a minting function to create the initial supply, most tokens will have finishedMinting: True, meaning the function can no longer be called, or the mint function will be internal to the contract and not able to be called by the owner (or anyone else).
