22796516 No.22796516 [Reply] [Original]

I'm 23 years old, just graduated college with Media and Communications, having nothing to my name but a MacBook and a 1000$. I'm currently looking for jobs but have no luck in this uncertain job market. The future hasn't looked so bad in decades. Any financial advice so I don't have to rely on my parents anymore?

sell the mac book buy a cheaper and better laptop, and what is a media and communications degree?

>what is a media and communications degree?
I picked it because it opens a wide range of career possibilities like working in film, television, radio, or, marketing etc. But the current job market is atrocious.

Yep, sounds about right
Liquidate your cuckbook, invest that money and your savings into chainlink, and be homeless for the next 2 years

your best bet now is to pick up a part time job & start a blog/YT if anything it'd be good on a resume

Move to the south and teach, they'll literally take anyone and its easy as fuck. Then plan your next move / scheme up money making ideas during the summers/after school

>> No.22797470

Substitute Teach and get a second part time job for 2 years and live with your parents so you have no bills besides student loans and maybe car. Put all your money during this time into crypto just in BTC/LINK. At the end of the two years you have plenty of money to last at least a year on your own without any social net but hopefully you maintain contact with your family and continue spending no money while saving everything until you're 30. Good luck if you follow this advice you will be a millionaire by 30 and can retire into NEETdom after 26.

let me tell you something kiddo. your degree that you spent $ on, and time getting, means literally dick-all in the real world. but its nice you think itll open up "possibilities" for ya. its about who you know or how much money you got. if you got neither, well your shit outta luck. learn to trade shitcoins on binance.

No you paid for it, just through tuition instead of directly so it cost an extra $600 due to administrative fees

theres no end to crypto research once you get started.

im studying crypto all day every day, i mainly talk to other traders and dont care about movies or porn anymore. Its just all crypto every day for me.

It's a rocky road to get started.

You can learn the basics in a week, but developing strong bag holding hands and keen eye for pumps takes more time.

This will be you. You got a useless degree.

Better luck next time

well most f the retards on this board have done any research because they are mostly degenerate dopamine addicts pretending to know what they're doing. I'm halfway through a really good book book and have some programming knowledge. After I finish the book I know I will know more about crypto (not trading) than 99% of this board and 99.99% of the population. Here is the book:
Mastering Blockchain: Deeper insights into decentralization, cryptography, Bitcoin, and popular Blockchain frameworks
Can download for free on libgen(dot)lc. Also major coins like BTC aren't a huge risk and in the long run are all that really matters.

Keep the MacBook, they last longer than windows laptops. Move in with your parents and apply to jobs online. You can find media & communications jobs, at the very least you could do freelance work. Also have a side hustle or two. If you had posted this a few days ago I would have said buy and Xbox or ps4 and sell it on eBay for double. With a grand your best bet is to save some of it and play the crypto market with some of it as well. Have the coins spoken of on here are shit so I recommend doing your own honework and finding what works best for you.

Save 10-40% of your income to invest into assets. Pay yourself first. If you invest into assets that generate cashflow you'll get to the point where you make money while you sleep.

Last sentence is key: just buy BTC and hold it. Dont touch it to buy weed or a stupid new phone. Just HOLD, for years. But be sure to make multiple backups of your "passwords" or wallets / private keys.

OP is young, just do whatever you want for a few years while you wait for your $1000 investment to grow

Most of this board is far too stupid for STEM, but won't admit it. I admitted it, so I got a finance degree and started making 80k straight out of school. A literal chimp could do my job and I make far more than most amerimutts make at the peak of their career.

Be realistic. Did you think you were going to land a comfy media job straight after graduation? It takes years of grind if you’re not born into that industry which is competitive enough.
The job market isn’t bad. Care home workers are needed, Christmas soon so there are many warehouse jobs available, you can’t just focus on media. Whilst you’re in those other jobs keep applying and do side passion projects related to media for your soul and resume.
save the money you make from jobs for these projects and/or investing. You can do it anon

Consider the actual skills you learned and how you could make money off them. Do you have a portfolio or projects you're able to sell yourself with? Something to make yourself stand out to employers?
