i quit my job 6 months ago because i felt comfortable with where my portfolio was going. i'm still in a good spot with this dumping (even if we go 50% down more from here), but i just got an offer to work at a decent place at a decent wage.
i've done nothing with my free time but play video games and alienate the people around me. should i go back into the wage cage?

give it a try, if you don't like it you can always quit which is an option a lot of people don't have.

I personally have a portfolio that I could live off of, but I still wage because my job is comfy, I can still trade during most of my hours there and it's stress free.
I used to be a neet after I graduated from college and I don't want to go back to living like that, I know if I quit my job I wouldn't be doing anything more than playing vidya, trading and watching tv, this way I get out of the house and force myself to at least interact with some people.

Yes. You need back up money until you can cash out high 6 or 7 figures and still have money to play with in investments.
