Yes.
No idea.
Yes, provided you have a bridge. There are at least two now.
Separate projects, Maker provided support later.
Most important thing of note is it’s the likely candidate to win the Reddit scaling and once ETH 2.0 comes out it’ll be implemented as a shard.

The bridge is how you move between chains. It’s what let’s you take your Dai on Ethereum network and make it xDai on the xDai network. I suppose there’s an element of trust that the software works, but much like Uniswap it can be forked and copied like other open source software.

Apologies, badly worded on my part. It’s intended to become a shard on ETH 2.0, but that doesn’t mean it will in the end because that’s far away. xDai itself has support from lots of ETH devs with even Vitalik shilling it a couple of times on Twitter.

Yeah, if I run "a little watcher application" on xDAI to see what the validators are up to, I'll be golden too. This is bullshit bro, the average user won't do it and you know it.

How about you buy the shit out of OMG and I stick with STAKE? I'll spare you the skateboard jokes and you stop trying to imply some super obscure feature makes one better than the other.

>>22749631
Could be, I haven't fully comprehended either. I am providing liq on the xDAI/HNY pool currently, but I am not sure it's a good idea, volume is still very low and IL can eat your HNYs. So I hope honeycomb is more than that - I guess you stake your LP tokens and get HNY or something on top.

Calm down man, I’m looking positively at this so far. I’m compring it to a similar design weighing positives and negatives. I’ll never get omg as they are clearly incompetent.

You clearly don’t understand how the exit game thing works, a watcher app could literally run on your phone as part of your wallet with the tradeoff being slower exits and a more complicated design. And if this works as i think it does, keeping track of what they do will not save you if a block that sets your balance to 0 suddenly hits. Hopefully this is mitigated by how validation and the pos system works.

How about not sperging because someone asks a few questions next time.

According to https://forum.poa.network/t/validators-and-security-model-of-the-xdai-bridge/1767 and other sites, a random block nulling your balance cannot simply pass the validators but validator collusion has to occur as I wrote above.

$60mm market cap, let's assume it pulls a LINK and we see $1-2bn. market cap (ignoring fully diluted) You're looking at a ~15-20x, or about $350-$400/STAKE. Buying 250 now would put you at $100k if we touch the top-end $400/STAKE. Remember this is only a ~$1.5bm. market cap. $1,000 STAKE is possible, although rare.

You can see that TVL is starting to increase. This reddit GitHub update is a major indicator that they won. I don’t see why they would spend any additional resources or time if they didn’t win, or aren’t in the final consideration.

Then you have akropolis and Aave taking a close look at xdai to save on gas costs. Plus the upcoming uniswap v3 which is supposed to fix gas fees.

If all of those end up on xdai, were going to 500-600 million EASY.

>> No.22753315

I believe you’re right about the Reddit part. They’ve got working products out at this very stage that can prove how it works compared to the largely theoretical competitors.

Without question in regards to Akro and Aave. Migrating even in part to xDai would be huge. They’re big projects and some of the most well known names in DeFi.

>> No.22753438

>>22753315
Yeah that’s a good point. We don’t even need all of the traffic to be migrated to xdai. Offloading even part of the burden would do two things.

1) make xdai skyrocket in price. Good for us holders yay

2) reduce the gas fees for ETH so we can make a fucking uniswap swap without paying 11 dollars. Good for the entire community.

Redditors are so dumb, they bought OMG at $30 in 2018 and now are hoping for a pump. They are telling themselves it won because "It has the most upboats lol". OMG winning would be a joke. STAKE is the governance token for the xDai network, a layer 2 scaling solution for Ethereum and currently the best in crypto with only Matic coming close.

Honey is a token on the xDai network that is used to govern Honeyswap, a fork of Uniswap that was ported over to the xDai network. Fees are paid in xDai (stablecoin tied to Dai, so it’s always $1) and fees usually amount to about $0.0001 cent or so. They’re also almost instant transactions. So imagine Uniswap, but ridiculously cheap and far faster.
