funniest one is that v3 is an L2 solution that reduces tnx fees
it's based on uniswap experimental demo called Unipigs that used plasma. But this project had no news since fall 2019, The demo doesn't even work now despite being online (probably plasma fuck up). You can search unipigs in uniswap discord and find out that one of uniswap devs called this demo "stupid game".
It's obvious that once ETH Foundation stopped following Raiden and Plasma, Uniswap devs ceased their L2 developments (which were unfinished PoC by the way) as well. L2 is a meme that would never deliver. Bitcoin cultists won't break their delusions because L2 is their only way to stay relevant, since other solutions require changing the consensus algorithm (sharding is impossible on PoW for example). And they won't be cultists if they haven't worshipped PoW and "Satoshi vision".
Any cryptodev who isn't just a brainlet is looking for sharding now. Sadly, there is a lot of "buts" in sharding as well. It may not deliver promised speed (because of cross-shard txns) and security (because of PoS). We'll see.
If v3 would ever happen, it would be just a minor improvement over AMM algo to reduce the fees a little.
