I am one of the lucky ones. I didn't get the airdrop, but bought the shit out of Uniswap once it launched there. To me, it was clear as light this would be a good investment, even though it has surpassed anything I ever expected.

Laugh all you want, but memes have driven blockchain since BTC. Anyone OG enough to be around when DOGE blew up? Yeah, that's what I am talking about. Digimarines, Linkmarines... Crypto is 99% speculation with a few use-cases tacked on, and speculation is driven by stories and memes.

Still a member of the MEME citadel and farming NFts with the rest.

$21.80 is for MEME, all on Aug 15th and between $16.41 and $33.36. I missed the $5 start by an hour or two and it was already shooting up. Luckily, some airdroppers dumped heavily. Got this from crypto Twitter, while /biz was laughing and making monkey noises.

xDAI STAKE I bought between $0.85 and $2.51 for an avg. cost of $1.91 from May 7th to May 19th. Eternally grateful that anon shilled it hard.

No, it's a side-effect from NFT farming mostly. The airdrop was to create a token-permissioned chat and little else. That chat requires you to hold 100 MEME and currently has 49 members (image related), so 4900 of the 28k are out of circulation. Two centralized exchanges trade MEME and hold bags for liquidity, the Uniswap pool holds 1140. So a lot is not for sale right now. Add to it that the founders have well-paying jobs at Consensys and other crypto-companies so they aren't in a hurry to cash in.

But the real kicker for the price was when the team decided to allow farming for NFTs. It started slow, but then they created collectibles featuring Andre Cronje, CZ, Sergey - and Cronje tweeted about it and everyone started farming. When a Cronje NFT sold for 77 ETH on opensea, all hell broke lose.

I understand why you'd say this is ridiculous, but otoh, the guys driving this project know no chill - they are hammering out those NFTs, talking to artists and doing a lot of work on Twitter to get exposure. One Youtuber wants to talk to the lead, they'll get articles soon and maybe even a listing at a bigger exchange, who knows.

Most importantly @fomosaurus - he was the one who tweeted MEME and incredibly well connected, was also super early in BAST when it was still cool.

Others:

There were A BUNCH of TOKENS you MISSED OUT ON.

ESH, STA, BUIDL, PAMP Network, FLAMA, Hex2t, Cap.Finance, AMPL, YFI, YFII, with the UNI airdrop just beating a dead horse.

I think AMPL and YFI were my biggest reasons for suicide... because AMPL and YFI have insanely good liquidity unlike all the other garbage. Plus their clones spawned a lot of opportunities to make it big and yield farming is a genuinely lazy, but relatively safe and consistent way to make money compared to all the other scams.

I feel sick for missing out on PICKLE because Vitalik tweeted about it and after 16 hours it did a 10x. PICKLE had a very good liquidity as well.
I always struggle with lowcap coins because of their lack of liquidity.

I feel like most of the time, we see coins and think its a scam. I'm sure most of us saw $meme at ~$50 thought nothing of it, then moved on. Then a couple months later see it boom out of fucking nowhwere then we FOMO in. My question is how to you stay on top of that when were spoonfed coins everyday.

As for groups, any particular one that sticks out to you. You dont have to say lalpha, but just some guide towards lgamma

>> No.22722404

In that case it helps if you make it on one coin, so you always have a few ETH for playing with the shitcoins.

I made it with XIO, and now I have some spare ETH that I use to buy coins that seem interesting, and I'll invest between 0.2 and 0.5 eth per coin so I don't lose much in case it's a scam or it starts crabbing forever until it dies.

So the answer is that you need to have throwaway money that you can afford to lose on a few shitcoins until you find something that moons.

>> No.22722574

>>22722240
as for the groups, on facebook I'm into two groups managed by Jeff, the CEO of SWAP, Cryptocurrency investing and Crypto coin trader, found out about a few airdrops and presales on there.

On telegram I'm only in the groups of the coins I own, like XIO, MEME, SWAP, BOMB and a few others. Here I check out messages and sometimes users start talking about other coins, or airdrops and stuff when the mod is not paying attention so I sometimes find new info

On twitter I just follow a few random influencers who are into defi or shitcoins, and ofc here is also a good place to find things fast before the normies start to buy

You need to have a keen sense of what is bullshit and what is a degen move but viable.

I missed a ton of good plays (latest: hippo.finance, shroom.finance) because my bs detector was too trigger-happy. But that's OK, you shouldn't dwell on the coins you missed. Make sure you do your dd and hit home on the those that seem good to you.

I got into BAST early and of course into MEME because they had that smell of "everyone thinks this is bs, but a lot of things check out". I passed on chat.vc which might be good, on lambol.finance and all the laughable shit.

You need to follow the right persons on Twitter (I gave you some earlier) and for the love of god anon, GO INTO THE TRND chat. You need to cough up some $$ to buy TRND tokens, but they have a lot of good stuff early, and weed out some of the more obvious scams.

@uniswap_gem_alerts on telegram has some good ones as well, but frequently a bit late.

@binancedextrading on telegram. this one as well
