Important news about NAK

Tom Collier says: "Draft of Mitigation Plan is on the Desk of Internal Expert and expected to be delivered within 2 weeks, if not the week"

Expects that Mitigation Proposal fully addresses all Mitigiation needs -- ROD this fall

He then talks about the final mitigation submission as being in "a few days"

Northern Dynasty expects positive ROD in the next month or so, probably before the elections. Collier stated that even if Trump does not get re-elected, he still holds office until January, and that a lot can be done during that time frame.

Reminder as to why NAK is important:

NAK has as much gold and silver in Pebble as all of Newmont Mining, the largest miner on earth. NAK can also produce almost as fast as Newmont. NAK market-cap = 70 billion, Newmont market cap = 70 million (1/100th). Newmont could go 2x or 3x in this PM bull market, so NAK has 100-300x potential. Trump has said as clearly as he possibly can that NAK _will_ get built. That's what "no politics" means. His recent tweet on this subject, and the ad which he ran lately on Pebble, are two of the most significant developments we have ever had. The CEOs fully believe in NAK, and didn't sell a single share even when it soared to $20.

I don't know how underwater the short sellers are, but I doubt a +10% spike is going to be enough to trigger liquidation especially if it's right after we just a -10% drop. It takes some balls to long NAK. I entered at 1.50. It dropped to ~0.50 on a hit piece, rebounded to 0.90 where I sold 1.00 covered calls to recoup some losses and just let them assign at 1.10.

With Democrats, it's a no. With Republicans, it's a maybe. Trump Jr. and the Bass Pro Shop founder are against it on Fox News, so even the party that is supposed to be for it is divided.

I believe in Ronald Theissen. He continues to buy stock in his own company at whatever price. I've watched his talks and read the papers. He does his due diligence.

The thing is that even with a positive ROD the permits will take years and I don't really feel like tying up my capital for 2 years waiting for a 10 bagger that might turn into a 0.25 bagger if the political winds change. Hell, Trump could be bribed by Putin to block the mine to make America weak or sell the mine to Russian oligarchs.

CLF shill was blatantly lying about revenue numbers on his CLF pick.

Why is it so hard to believe that GME at a $1 billion market cap is still very reasonable if their annual revenues is at least $6 billion? They are positioned to finally stop their cash burn and revenue declines with the console cycle.

like i don't give a shit if you don't understand how to asses the value, you can go ahead and short it at $20 for all you want. I'm holding until $20 and at most I will set trailing stops on a portion, not outright sell it. Fact is that Gamestop was only this low because people thought it was going bankrupt, and now that it's not, $20 is a reasonable price target. $50 would be its valuation if people become more confident and it trades at a price-to-sales value closer to 0.6 like Bestbuy.

So, not gonna shill it like its a slam dunk, I dont want people to get giga'd.

There are some very solid points about why FPX is a solid contender for long term contracts from people interested in environmentally friendly nickel
from https://ceo.ca/@leni/a-conversation-with-martin-turenne-ceo-of-fpx-nickelcorp
"Brian: The nickel market has attracted a lot of attention over the last few months and, in my opinion, it is directly related to a few comments by Billionaire Tesla Founder, Elon Musk.

Musk made a reference to nickel during one of Tesla’s post-earnings conference calls saying,

“Tesla will give you a giant contract for a long period of time, if you mine nickel efficiently and in an environmentally sensitive way.”

In your opinion, have Musk’s comments had an effect on the nickel market? If so, please explain.

Martin: Yes, they have. Among his many other qualities, Musk might be the best market promoter of all-time, so his call for “green” nickel has raised a huge amount of investor interest in nickel. In order to keep the cost of EV batteries (and therefore of EVs themselves) low, Tesla and other carmakers need a lot of nickel at the lowest possible price – because the price of nickel is a key driver of battery pack cost. His comments also highlight the fact that nickel is, in general, a highly carbon-emitting and polluting industry, so his call for “green” nickel really places a spotlight on the need for responsible practices in this sector – and that’s where we think Canadian projects like ours have a big advantage over nickel production in places like Russia, Indonesia and the Philippine.

For the first time in more than a decade, we are starting to see mainstream, generalist interest in nickel. For investors looking for nickel exposure, the landscape of nickel equities is very small, and generally constrained to smallcap companies like ours with market caps under $200 million."

Brian: The updated PEA results on FPX’s Baptiste project were just announced and I think they look great. In fact, better than I had guessed.

A few of the highlights - An after-tax NPV of US$1.7 billion, 35 year mine life, 1st quartile operating costs of US$2.74/lbs Ni and AISC of US$3.21/lbs Ni.
Brian: It isn’t a stretch to believe that the world is headed toward more stringent environmental controls. Musk’s comments are a great example of how culture shapes the direction of corporate culture.

In terms of FPX, UBC and Trent University are currently completing a study on the Baptiste deposit waste rock, which they believe may have the capacity to sequester carbon.

Can you give us an update on the study and explain how carbon sequestering, if possible, could play a large role in a future mining operation?

Martin: A few nickel companies are starting to talk about the potential for developing zero-carbon operations, but we are really taking the lead in terms of testwork and publishing data to support these claims. Our Baptiste deposit is uniquely rich in a mineral called brucite; when brucite is exposed to air in the context of a tailings facility, the mineral will naturally absorb carbon dioxide from air and sequester the CO2 in mineral form forever. The researchers at UBC and Trent University believe that Baptiste has high potential to sequester enough CO2 to completely offset the carbon footprint of the mining operation, making this a carbon neutral operation. We will be publishing test data in the coming months to support the potential for this to become a reality.

When you consider Baptiste’s scale and strong economics, and then factor in its potential to be a low- or zero-carbon project, we believe this could be very important in attracting interest from investors working under an ESG mandate, and also major mining companies, most of whom have committed to making their operations carbon neutral in the coming decades.

I just ask because the most profitable trade I've made to date was selling an ITM put credit spread on TSLA during its retarded pre-split runup and buying it back when it went OTM. It seems like with this method, both theta and vega are on your side. Time decays, you win. IV crushes, you win.

I'll tell you, it's about 7%. So if(when) the housing bubble here pops, even before we talk about knock-on effects and all the jobs in retail etc that those jobs support, that's an instant +7% unemployment.

Which is why policy has become to let absolutely anybody who can afford to even rent a house or apartment to move here.

I am skeptical that the TFSA in its current state, will survive the test of time. Especially with more and more millenials and zoomers using it as the primary savings and retirement account. With millions accumulating in their, government may seek to alter the rules. The government will need to see more and more avenues to generate tax revenue to fun their social programs, which are expanding not shrinking.
