Imagine thinking it's just an issue of writing code to able to stake tokens like every korean with a weekend course in coding can manage. Staking involves game theory issues of one node taking the lead and obtaining increasingly higher reputation and collateral until no other nodes are requested. Currently 20% of nodes on mainnet do the overwhelming majority of jobs. It takes time to do this properly.
