Do you know how leverage works? Let's say you took 20k and risked 50% (10k) using 5x and bought 50k worth of link or about 5k link at $10. If link drops 1% or just 10 cents, your now have an unrealized loss of $500 which affects your equity which is now 19.5k. This isn't a big deal but crypto moves fast and hard. If link drops 10% or 1 dollar its now a 5000 unrealized loss and your equity is 15k. Your margin level has now dropped from 250% when you first entered to 150%. If link drops 30% from your entry you have an unrealized loss of 15k and your margin level is now 50%.
((20k - 15k)/10k) = .5 ×100 = 50%
Now your gonna get margin called to deposit more funds if you aren't about to be liquidated. This doesn't even take into account the fees associated with making the trades and borrowing rates
