PE is retarded, growth is king. Unless it's something like TSLA where their PEG doesn't justify their valuation either, then ignore PE. Like AMD's PEG for example is pretty good, their valuation is justifiable considering how fast their growth has been even if that ~140 PE ratio looks scary as fuck. Anyone who understands semiconductors can plainly see that AMD's growth will continue to be explosive for the next 3 years because Intel shit the bed HARD. Whatever Intel tries to do to catch up will take at least 3 years to attempt.

The pro tem is having a dementia moment on twitter. Due to the unusually high volume of demented and/or dead government people nowadays, I was wondering if it's a sign that boomers as a whole are finally croaking. If so, it will induce sweeping changes given the timing: as they refused to give up their jobs when their time came, they'll all die within 10 years, with the majority dying in the next 5. This will create a massive power vacuum at the very least, and will open up positions throughout every hierarchy (in industry, in government, elsewhere), which will let zoomers and millennials finally move up.
- Will this impact the entry-level positions?
- How does that interact with the current financial situation?
- Which companies have the highest and lowest concentration of dead-walking boomers?
- How do we profit off of this?

Nice numerals.
I don't think medical is mostly funded by them. I think government (medicaid) and the middle-aged middleclass are the main funders. Pensions ought to be affected if the pyramid shifts altogether, but they're bled dry already and the next generation doesn't have the position to want to stay at work past their time for now. This will be affected by hierarchy shuffling upon the boomers' deaths though. Don't know how this somewhat complex interplay might pan out.
Also trump says he wants to reduce drug costs by forcing big pharma to sell to the US at the lowest overseas cost, which is going to cut into medical anyway, so they're probably a good short in any case.
Maybe 'classical' services? Retail getting hit even more for example?

99.9% drawdown and still a CAGR that beats unleveraged with gains orders of magnitude greater than unleveraged.
Note too the paper that was excerpted from outlines a strat that makes use of leveraged ETFs while avoiding the drawdowns. That's what the "LRS" (Leverage Rotation Strategy) thing is about. The theory is volatility is the enemy of leveraged ETFs and when volatility is high you want to go to cash or T-bills. The method of timing the market in the paper is when the underlying goes under the 200 day simple moving average you get out and when the underlying goes back above you get back in. I'd suggest reading it cuz even if you don't subscribe to the strategy in question it's thought provoking.

SSO (DBPG for euroanons) is a 2x leveraged ETF based on the S&P 500 and it is one of the few leveraged ETFs that existed before the Great Financial Crisis of 2008. Had you bought SSO (DBPG) at the literal top of the market before the recession in October 2007, as of this moment, you would have gains of 176%. Had you bought the underlying SPY on the same day you would have gains of 98%. So had you bought the leveraged ETF, even at the worst possible time, you still would have ended up with almost double the gains.
Remember this the next time somebody throws shade on leveraged ETFs because of volatility decay. Buy the index based leveraged ETFs and win. Simple as that. And start buying now. Coronavirus could be as bad as the GFC and if you start buying in now with a little money and buy in more later as the prices drop you will still come out much better in the long run than buying SPY or worse doing nothing at all.

1- that's based on pre-breaker data. This is no longer even mathematically possible for it to happen.
2- so long as drawdown is any better than 100%, you will still regain everything and then some. Even if you only have 0.01 pennies in there. Only the end result matters, and the timeframe for recoveries (e.g. 40 years to go from 0.01% back to 20% is not acceptable, but 5 years to go from 0.01% to 110% is fine).

Start selling covered calls and with the premium dollar cost average into more TQQQ. If QQQ dips under the 200 day moving average and we're in a highly volatile bear market then sell your TQQQ and start selling puts until we get back above the 200 at which point you buy your TQQQ back and sell more calls. The premium you gather will obliterate the negative effects of volatility decay and you will crush these know-nothing anti-leverage anon bugs into dust like they deserve

Just gotta know when to pull out by feel. If you stay in too long a good thing can turn bad real quick. Usually I look for change in trend. Like if something has been going up lately if it evens out on a day then look at pre market and how it acts at open. Make a decision then. I also sell off percentages of my short term holdings as it goes up to secure some profits and prevent large losses in the event of a big dip. As all my short term holdings are based off of pnd hype.

I wouldn't necessarily do it now after this huge run up but consider selling the shares you do have and buying a deep in the money LEAPS. If you can afford one it's a much cheaper way to control 100 shares and you can sell calls on it. Also, should the day come when you sell out you can still sell cash secured puts.

Well, as it stands Boomers are rapidly disappearing from the workfoce now, at least here in Europe.

>Will this impact the entry-level positions?

In know a LOT of companies that have an extremely hard time finding competent new people. Many are desperate - the eduction system is so pozzed a lot of fresh graduates are entirely worthless on the job, especially the ones with straight As, as they have learned nothing besides repeat what their Prof tells them and zero experience in the real world.

So many companies are starting to ignore the paperwork and focus on simply finding people who get the job done, not caring as much about formal requirements.

>Which companies have the highest and lowest concentration of dead-walking boomers?

Here its definitely tha Auto industry. A lot of these Boomers will walk in the coming months, tons of them are too old to find something new but already they are flooding all labour markets where Auto Boomer knowledge may apply. The rats are fleeing the sinking ship.

Ok here!!!

First off there were very real downward channel on GME for like 4 years kek
this channel DISTRIBUTED AS HECKIES on people as can tell with OBV
we looking at just lots and lots of bag holders and people who sold at loss between 25 and 15 dollas

it gonna be very hard get past 15 or 16 because of this distribution >_>
but for sure channel broke yay that prolly good

tried paint bullish case for upward channel in red, this sees that GME might try retest $7
but good news am, the first green line LVM. This place not distributed on!! IMO there very good chance GME will hit $12
the second green line a HVN of $16. It less likely it gonna get here, but Fibonacci retrace also likes this value area, so that increases chances will hit 16.

After 16 it tough story, theres years and years of distribution will have deal with. Imo unless we enter hardcore bullrun there no way 16 will break.

thats basically it. Expect stock probably hit 12 then crash. Or hit 7 then hit 12.
Just on site note it absolutely insane how many people shorted GME in JUNE-JULY. The volume hit levels pre-IPO.

Have had some late entry points causing losses and refusal to sell because I think it’ll still pump or correct after a dip but it’ll keep crashing. But overall green. Stocks to me are about playing the hype. Still not in on GME. Monday or Tuesday seems like the day. Although I heard about it two weeks ago and never went through yet. >can you explain this concept of buying itm leaps and them being essentially equivalent to stock?
Sure. An in the money LEAPS is nothing but a call option with a far out expiration date, at least a year or so, that is deep in the money so it has a lot of intrinsic value and comparatively less extrinsic or time value.
The theory in this instance is you want 100 shares of the stock so you can sell covered calls on it. You can't afford 100 shares so you buy a call option instead. Since you are buying the call option as a substitute for stock you want it to act like stock as much as possible. This means you don't want any surprises should volatility increase and you don't want to lose a lot money due to theta as the option approaches expiration. When you go deep in the money, most of the premium you pay for the option is what's called "intrinsic value" meaning if you were to assign the option and liquidate the shares in the market that's the amount of money you would end up with. The closer that amount matches the premium you are paying for the option the better. Anything above this amount is extrinsic value. Should the market crab the intrinsic value will not evaporate however the extrinsic value will. And since real shares don't suffer this phenomenon you want to lessen the effect as much as possible with your "stock substitute" options. The easiest rule of thumb without having to calculate anything is to buy options with a delta of at least 80 and even up to 90. If you go less than this the comparative amount of extrinsic value begins to increase and you subject yourself to the effects of theta and implied volatility which you do not want.
Since you will be paying much less than the full amount to control your 100 shares using this LEAPS you also are using natural leverage. Since you aren't using margin though this leverage is not something that can cause a margin call. It's just an artifact of the trade. I hope that explains some.

Only stocks I've been thinking over are
GME and WKHS. Seems too late for WKHS but if it dips I'll probably buy in. GME seems like it could still be early and the first big pump has already corrected. If it shoots up at open on monday could trigger a sell off. Then around 10am is the time to buy if expecting it to reach higher. If it dips at open with a morning sell off I'd expect around $10 as a price target for many looking to get out early. People like their even numbers. My gut it telling me GME right now based on the hype and ps5 coming out soon. GME was pretty bullish leading up to ps3 and ps4 release in the past. Even though sony seems to be trying to move game sales to their online store there still needs to be a place to buy the actual console. They're releasing a version with a disk drive but I haven't been able to find out if they are releasing physical game disks or if it's simply $100 more for the ps5 to work as a dvd player as well. It can be entirely possible in store sales of ps5 games will be redeemable codes that you can buy in shops which will help gamestop. Might go 25 GME 75 cash and add another 25 to GME if it goes down and let it ride if it goes up. Then sell when the hype dies down or a big drop.

one thing's for sure, there's something wrong when there aren't shares available to lend out to short sellers on InteractiveBrokers. Happened for a few days so far already. IBorrowFee stopped updating as a result.
Interest rate at ~50% which reflect how hard it is to find shares to borrow. That should give you a massive clue that short % of float is still ridiculously high.

delta is basically the amount that the option value changes per dollar change in share price
Gamma is the rate of acceleration of delta, so both are important in this case.
Implied volatility has such a great impact on the above that it will often be the most important factor, but I can't explain too well so here:
