isn't it a little bit strange that chainlink is basically a startup project with 10 billion dollars ? Like their incentive is not to build successful business and make money but more philosophical one.

Their incentive is to bring truth onto the blockchain beyond merely solving the double spending problem. This is a multi-quadrillion dollar problem, it's value is literally impossible to calculate under the current paradigm of Fiat money. Only when hyperinflation sets in and the New Order of the World has been established will we discover it's true worth.
