I've been out of the game for a while, /biz/, but I've got a steady job again and I'm ready to ante up. What have I missed since early 2019. What's hot, what's not? I already know about LINK.

So memes are cool. I’m thinking a spread with LTC, XLM, and ETH. I’m not looking for pump and dumps. Is ETH 2.0 still a thing? And is there any news on IOTA?

The first two are time tested and have some staying power. IOTA was one I was just curious about, because it was shipped here to hell and back in the 2017 rush.

I ended up grabbing some UNI. Solid fundamentals, looks like I came back just in time.

You should be looking at the bottom of the Top 100 for something that’s yet to take off and is just about to. Quant comes to mind.

LTC is useless, XLM will be too, boomer coins. UNI is the right choice. now go and learn all you can about defi, start with YFI, SNX, AAVE, RARI (NFTs will probably become huge in the next months/2021)

wow anon you've been gone for a while.

1) eth is creating a shit ton of value and it is fundamentally very cheap

2) link has also advanced a lot and is also fundamentally underpriced

3) with eth and link bringing solid fundamentals, defi has really started taking off. defi = decentralized exchanges.

now we have what is called defi blue chips.
aave, snx, yfi and possibly now uni.
aave = be your own bank
snx = synthetic assets where you will be able to trade everything in the future without kyc (it is decentralized, remember?
yfi = sovereign fund, kinda. basically a money maker.

polkadot is also making some interesting moves, possibly helping ethereum while generating some value for itself. that's as short as I can make. if you have discord and feel like connecting to traders/investors feel free to join my group. server id is r62y8vZ. However, be warned that we shitpost a lot and we are more focused on trading but we also like discussing some new projects and private sales. hope to see you there, fren.

np. btw don't fall for the maxi fud who believe BTC and only btc will prevail

>> No.22596114

it's not a matter of being right or wrong in the end.the argument that brings people into bitcoin, also fits well for ethereum.

1) what if btc goes to zero? fair enough, but you are playing a game of going to zero vs making 10x

2) what if eth goes to zero and btc pumps? just in case, even if you don't believe eth, it would be wise to be at least minimally exposed to it as well.

3) even if you believe eth and don't believe in defi, you have to at least be exposed to it.

and by defi I meant legit defi. not the scams. you can make more money by playing the scams but I recommend building at least a hodl portfolio first

>> No.22596183

>>22596114
Yeah. That's why I'm talking LTC, XLM, and even IOTA even though the latter didn't get me cranked. I'm rebuilding my hodl longterm portfolio. LTC is still tightly scaled to BTC from what I see, and it's a cheaper buy in to get started again. XLM was one I did and still believe in for it's ties to the broader finance world. The rest, I'm ready to be surprised by what's new.

How to take advantage of the DeFi hype without risk? i.e. Not like with yVaults where you're leverage trading. What's the best route to go? Look for best APR and provide liquidity? But when providing liquidity for X/USD stable coin, you'll have to sell your crypto and if prices move up you're basically losing out compared to when you had HODLed. Provide liquidity for coin/coin or coin/token?
