I think October 4 might be the day, September 4 was mainnet deployment and you could stake by interacting directly with the contract on etherscan. The beta staking dashboard only went live one week later. I would imagine that a good junk of stakers waited for that dashboard due to low-iq tech illiteracy, at least I hope so that might give me an edge over at least those.

Ive got 1100 I bought at $9. Watched it pump to $50 while I was at a worksite for 2 weeks. By the time I had access to my wallet it was already down 60% from that pump. I was hoping releases would increase interest and help the price recover. It didn’t so I staked em. Made 11 in a week. At pace for around 50 Bree.
Id be thrilled to break even.
