i still don't get shorting. you short at $5 let's say and it goes to 2.50, you make 50%. it goes to $10 and you lose 100%. it goes to 15 and you literally lose twice as much as you put in. and so on. the most you can make is 100% but you can lose an unlimited amount more than you put in to short. meanwhile if you go long the max you can lose is 100%, and usually at worst you lose like half of what you put in not even all of it, at WORST. you buy at $5 and it goes to $10 and you double your fucking money, it goes to $15 and you triple it, and so on.
