I don't understand the point of these constant upgrades for gaming anymore. I bought a 1070 on launch and nothing I've wanted to play has needed it. Just really generic AAA titles. All my fun in the past year has been stuff like Risk of Rain 2.

recently I realized I can't even tell the difference between medium and high/ultra settings.
Rasterization has run out its course, raytracing is the only thing that can take graphics to the next level, but it's at least 2 years before games start to seriously rely on it
