The game theory inherent in Bitcoin is simply amazing.

Yes, number go up. But be prepared to go through huge drawdowns along the way, even 50%.

Has happened before every single halving cycle

Yeah the common wisdom of 30-40% corrections in a bullrun seems broken now. Looks like despite the much bigger market cap we can be even more volatile, with the 50%+ in a week or so in march, unless that really does turn out to be just a black swan.

checked. it's more sophisticated than that. exponential decrease in mining costs with new hardware will eventually lead to more decentralization, more overall power consumption and increasing taxes for miners which will again lead to more centralization until it eventually be abandoned as a pipe dream.
>>22521774
you mean same like with every pos? more stacked = thinner order books, absolutely retarded volatility and therefore entire system inevitably collapsing?

>> No.22524555

The same was said about gold pre 2013. Than cme came. Buttcoin is going to crab for centuries

You wait for the game theory for Ampleforth.

it has to crab, or it will get banned no joke it will. pos coins are good candidates for an absolutely unironic ban, if they will perform as expected and ruin tax payers lives.

It's been just as volatile as ever retard. Futures manipulation only matters on the spot price from Gemini. Whales can bet on a price and push it up just as much as they can push it down ( in theory ). The amount of capital to do so is ever increasing as bigger players are buying and holding BTC as well as miners holding. I've yet to see a real argument as to why futures is the end of BTC.

>> No.22525445

but then all this goes out the window since we just learned that BTC follows the stock market, if the stock market doesn't crash for the next year or so we will have a great run but if it crashes were fucked too.
