I'm doing well. Just finished building my three kids a treehouse and it's fucking awesome. Took advantage of all the home time for a big project that paid off.

Work is kinda meh. Pay me well and I can work from home, but I need new challenges and have been passed over for promotion this year for a total ass kissing dickhead.

Sent my resume out and have a 3rd interview tomorrow with the owner of a large company to review my offer. It's a big raise but I will be taking a risk by leaving a job with 15 years experience and potential severance. I will also need to bust ass for the position which will mean less time with family, but the job sounds awesome.

In other words, the age old mid career money versus family time decision.

I think I am going to take the position and my wife is very supportive of it, but with 3 kids in tow I have to make the best decision for all of us.

32 year old. Work in finance but now its all remote, bought a condo in downtown in Feb this year, not the best of decisions given covid but things are holding up. Have about 100k usd invested and the condo is worth about half a million usd. I take home about 100k usd (live in leaf land).

Trying to find a woman for a long term relationship because I want a family at the end of the day but man I am tired. I actually get way more matches on dating apps now then I ever did, sometimes like 3 on the same weekend but the ratio of matches to dates is like 5 to 1 at best and as I get wealthier and more successful I have become more choosy. Also doesn't help that I have a bad case of oneitis, met a girl overseas a couple of years ago and I have tried to convince her to come to Canada with me. Was going to travel overseas this year and propose to her in a last ditch gamble but Covid fucked everything up so I am basically holed up at home, going on pretend dates once or twice a month while pissing away my time.

Only good thing, is this year I took up gardening and brewing. I have been making my own home brew off recipes on the internet. Also learning to trade options.
