Are there any remaining oldfags who are actually sitting comfy with a nice BTC stack? How much you got? I'm in 10+ BTC club finally.

14 btc anon. Never selling.

>> No.22496486

Just passed 21 btc a month ago which was my long term goal. Feeling comfy. My eth stack is only 130, trying to keep growing that now for some diversification.

not lying, just got lucky and found out about bitcoin early. If anything it's embarrassing that I only have 21 since I found out about btc in 2012 and didn't buy enough.

You'd have to have awful timing to have spent $100K to stack this amount of BTC

>Bitcoin is digital gold
Some web 3.0 coin like Cardano or Polkadot or even Ethereum 2.0 is going to make this useless and you'll have spent your life fortune on the equivalency of a stack of first edition iPhones.

Enthusiasm will drop, and your "digital gold" will be worth it as an ironic collector's item. It will take like 400 dollars to transfer one and every zoomer will have asymmetrical haircuts and be transfering Cardano in seconds over 5g networks with zero fees.

>> No.22496710

and by 5g I mean 12g. Also cyberspace will be real and everyone will be having sex with 5g girlfriends instantly at orgy pleasuredomes and you'll be sitting around a cyberspace table unable to afford the best pleasurebots or coolest avatars.

You know BTC doesn't have to do bad for new chains to do well. BTC isn't going anywhere because people already plan long term with it. For example put it in hardware wallets they don't plan to touch until they pass it down to their kids. Bitcoin has proven it has staying power and is the only one that has really done so so far.

I'm glad to see other chains doing more experimentation and using PoS instead of PoW as well as other cool developments. But with how much is in flux though with those who can plan long term around them. You really can't. BTC will just be tokenized on those other chains with things like wbtc and renBTC.

No need to hate. Join the party.

I started buying btc around 700, most of my btc came from eth gains and flipping to sats which turned out to be the right call. The last 2.5 btc i bought at 12.5k with link gains...

Cool, it'll go great with other sure things older generations thought was gonna be cool investments like Sears stocks or beanie babies.

You had 10 years.
Sorry you are priced out.
BTC is not going anywhere even when all these ETH killers and ETH mature. It will always be the final settlement layer in the cryptosphere.

Polkadot/Cosmos or ETH 2.0 will likely become just accepted as Bitcoin for digital money. Also there are some issues with bitcoin being PoW that I suspect will hinder its growth in the next few years.

I wouldnt doubt that eventually, but they all have to prove their merits by surviving and being adopted and widely recognized. ETH is getting there but it's gonna be a while before you hear about microstrategy buying a quarter billion dollars of DOT.

Bitcoin is going take off when more people learn about RGB protocol.
https://rgb-org.github.io/

It went into beta in June.
They're bringing stable coins onto lighting as their first smart contract.
This means that you could send USDT across LN.
Sats would be "colored coins" representing X amount of USDT.
They're going to eventually have assets and contracts tied to colored bitcoin on the LN and it'll all be scaleable.
