I want to close my bank account and get a better on ramp exchange to replace Coinbase. Would crypto.com be a good substitution? Does anyone here have experience with it? Or maybe I can just use swipe and some other exchange.

Use coinmetro

>> No.22482149

I've been using it for months with zero issues. My only real beef with it is they don't allo you to move cash from your card back into the exchange. So you effectively need a second bank account to cycle money back if you wish to do that. Which honestly isn't a big issue at all.

Used it for a year now. All good. Don't have the card tho.

Crypto.com is chad tier. I kinda regret selling half my stack of CRO at 1.77 for some shitcoins.

Does Coinmetro have any kind of card or future plans to implement one? I want to skip banks entirely but still use a card or a similarly easy way to pay for day to day things.

Thanks. Although it sucks to hear that there isn't a streamlined way to transfer funds off the card.

Actually yes, they will have a card. The details are still kind of getting worked out, but they just got the licensing they need to launch it today. Don't know when they would plan to launch it, but sounds like they want to be able to compete with all these other card issuers that offer benefits.

Its great but couldn't replace a bank account. Also SXP is a steaming pile of garbage atm.

Use code xgbqz0g8r2 to get $50 when you order a CDC card :)

I’ve been using CDC for a few months, got in before the MCO swap over and focused on CRO mainly so got sort of lucky on that. Have the 10,000 stake tier for the card and the perks are quite nice. Also using Earn for a some passive side income. Unfortunately in the US we don’t have all the features like Exchange so can’t speak to that.

I've looked at XCM before, but I didn't know about this. I don't think I will use Coinmetro right away, but I might actually get a small bag of XCM.

If I get it I'll use your code. Thanks. In your opinion, why wouldn't it replace a bank account? Security? Also that sucks, since I'm US based too.

It's pretty good, I've had the red card for a couple months now.
I've had some issues getting bank transfers to go through to the platform, but that's the only issue I've really had. Also there's no exchange in the US, which sucks.
I wouldn't close your bank account tho, you still might need bank services in the future.
Also, make sure you're not storing all of your crypto on these platforms, they can get hacked and in which case you'd be fucked.

Eh, for the most basic purposes it’s maybe able to replace an account. You won’t have the ability to write checks, withdrawals shouldn’t be an issue but with crypto companies I wouldn’t rely too much on it, and customer service is extremely slow but pretty good once they do get back to you. Also, ATM withdrawals are not free from all fees despite how it sounds at first glance. A bank like Schwab has true no-fee ATM withdrawals. The biggest thing for me is the debit card cash back and Earn feature. I try to put large purchases on it and things like bills that allow no fee card payments.

we're all in the same situation. I'm currently turning revolut (online bank) into my direct deposit bank for my paycheck. Revolut is as bad as RobinHood in that you can't withdraw crypto, but I can hold my funds in bitcoin or eth (just added 2 more, bch and something else) I hold in ETH and then sell into the debit card like crypto dot com to spend on the debit card. Revolut also has recurring payments and they don't stop crypto transactions. Plan to use them to buy BTC on cash app or others then use DEX's for conversion to other crypto. They also connect to google pay/apple pay, etc.

Can't do things like bank transfers, guess that's my only reason desu. Security isn't too much of a concern as they've got a lot of insurance

Writing checks and ATMs I don't use that much, however you do make a point about not putting all your reliance on it. I have my crypto stuff across a few different wallets anyways, and was hoping to use their wallet that let me keep my keys.
>>22483440
Honestly can't think of any services in a bank that I'd personally need that crypto can't fill. But I'm open to discussion. And yeah, I'm not planning on putting everything into crypto.com.
>>22483990
I'll look at Revolut. Never heard of them. Thanks!

Bank transfers I'm not concerned about security seemed good, but I'm not putting all my eggs in one basket, and I saw they had the option to create your own wallet where they don't have your keys so I'm going to take that route.

Crypto.com is great. I'm surprised it doesn't receive more attention on biz. Fuck glowbase I'll never use them again.

Kinda OT, but anybody use Nexo? Mostly untreated in staking my DAI and they're giving 8% APR (10% if you buy their token). Anybody have any good or bad stories or other ideas? Seems but all I've done is dropped my coins in so far.
