Because doing so is simply safe. You get to being and staying a whale by taking money when it's there. Yield farming with the intent to dump the rewards is incredibly risk averse, yet the returns are still superior to basically every other financial instrument.

They simply don't care what happens after the transition, they just want to make a nice quick buck while they can with almost no risk.

ok, well since i have 0 experience in staking i need to ask these questions

it lists all the different pools, for example you have YFI, BAT and BTC pools the btc pool has a 200% apr while the bat has almost 550% apr.

are you better off buying BAT since its extremely cheap compared to BTC and using that to stake? or am i thinking about this the wrong way, also after that freak was in here yesterday talking about cheating bat outta 450k who knows how long that will last.

only account i have is on huobi is it still doable to stake this or am i paying gas to move them off and into a metamask wallet?

Go check out their latest medium articles. Personally I am bullish because we got a lot of clarity in the last two weeks, max supply will be just over 6 million between two tokens so it's not going to mint forever like food scam tokens. They are going to start weekly burns based on BAL tokens received from pools, might not be a ton but doesn't hurt. On top of the burns, the new governance pool is developed so your funds that are deposited are actually utilized to farm additional yields. The vault uses these yield rewards to buy back YFV off the market and distribute to holders. Positive for price. Oh yeah, and we don't even know how the Vaults will work quite yet but should be lucrative and have their own spin vs YFI.

What this dude said, there will be a lot higher demand for VALUE/YFV once all features of project open and there won't be enough of it since they capped YFV production at 4m + Value amount that will be decided by community vote. Half of circulating supply is already locked in pool so you can see it has strong support and people who are there for the long run. As for returns, we will see, that is final piece of puzzle, how vUSD and vETH will fit in entire system and how much will they prop up the price. It's a big thing they are trying to build.
