>work for startup
>know it's about to be fucked due to lack of enthusiasm of coworkers
>almost everyone I worked with has abandoned by now, only me and probably 5 more at most left
>CEO is desperate and willing to pay me a shitton just to stay even if I do almost nothing

Is it a good idea to stay assuming my living expenses are so low, I won't really have much to worry about if SHTF?

what does your startup even do? pls shed some light

Sounds like easy money, stay and save up. If the ship goes down you have enough until you either get another job or you catch moons.

Been there anon, we were a tiny start-up running for little over a year, there was two coders/developers and I was one of them. Working for 60 hour weeks alone knowing it was any day now that the funds ran out. We shipped the projects and I got good recommendations out of it but it's hard being at that position. Do your best but keep looking for another jobs, also stay on the good side of your CEO so he will write you a recommendation for you.

Mobile games, they were all the rage some years ago, I was straight out of school studying computer science in uni and it was a gamble that I was willing to took.

Honestly I have to add the game wasn't good at all, it lacked the fun aspect, we had rats going down a drain collecting cheese, we did have hats and customization so that was pretty fun but didn't carry the poor gameplay and lack of content.

Mobile games, shit... It's funny how they went downhill at a time when everybody has got a smartphone

SHTF is certainty. Many software companies are struggling now. Even Google slowed down hiring. In the current job market, I doubt you would find a good position unless you're some genius coder, but it won't hurt to try of course.

Player retention, that was the key. You were honestly fighting for screen time with every app there was, and there was literally +10-20 teams working in the same city, few bigger ones got into pc games and made it. One was Colossal Order that made the Cities Skylines later on.
