Newsflash: I like both projects, and I don't see it as "support one, hate the other" because I'm not 9 years old.
And I certainly won't be dumping XMM in the future, as some sort of devious ploy to derail it (that wouldn't work even if I wanted it to, and would be beyond retarded-as-fuck.) This is because I'm a grown man.
Newsflash 2: It's okay to hold both. They're not sports teams. Both can absolutely work in the same space (and I'm sure there'll be plenty of other similar tokens in the future, too).

Deflation. Aka reverse of inflation.
Total supply diminishes over time and with Momentum, it encourages network stability/hodling and ropes swingies/dumpers/PnDers.
A well known use case would be to pool with it to encourage more arbitrage opportunities with arbitrage bots which yield much higher gains than pooling other tokens as per usual. There will be more use cases implemented over time through dApp development and community direction.

>> No.22414839

>>22414667

>inb4 a statera fag comes in
>inb4 muh statera better
>inb4 muh statera tokenomics

Let me make it clear. We didn't want to associate ourselves with statera remotely. People do it because either A) FUD or B) easy to relate to assuming how new we are compared to how long statera has been around.
Tokenomics, let's apply the same thinking here for a moment. Statera's burn is to encourage the bots to trade more actively if I'm not mistaken. When the original pool was at its peak, we truly saw the power of what deflation brings to us. If we were to take the tokenomics and apply them to Momentum as they are described, Momentum would -- theoretically -- yield more gains, out burn, and overall out do statera. Unless I'm not understanding what you guys have been splurging the past couple weeks and even months now. Momentum just does everything better.

>> No.22415126

>>22414839
Think of pools as index funds. We have them available to us out of choice or our own creativity to make. We current have a pool on balancer with the liquidity token, XMMx, due to balancer not capable of handling deflationary tokens at the moment. Balancer pools are smart contracts that manage the liquidity you offer to maintain the pool levels. For example, we have a 25/25/25/25 split pool. Which has wETH, SNX, LINK, and our liquidity token XMMx (shows up as UNI-V2 on balancer). The arbitrage bots adjust quantity of tokens to maintain the value of the pool split among those values. If one goes up and the rest do not, the one that went up is sold to balance out the pool again with the newly gained value. On top of that, fees that would be collected by a provider like an exchange would be returned to those in the pool to yield more gains as you pool longer. However, you pool with an understanding of Impermanent Loss. Since the pool is actively balancing out all the time, a 100x outside of the pool would be more like an 88x with the pool. But you're protected from suffering heavy losses at the expense of not realizing the whole gain of having the tokens in your wallet out of the pool.
