This. For range purposes steel is fine. The reason it’s bad for self defense is because the case doesn’t expand and is more likely to jam. Having a jam at the range is irrelevant and actually better for training purposes because if you jam in a SHTF scenario you won’t panic because you’re trained for it. This of course doesn’t apply to AK’s because they are built to run steel casings.

I've owned 1k steel and 1k brass ammo. And the brass was garbage. Not to mention the lead tips were corroded. Steel is poly coated so it rarely rusts. Everyone would run steel in America if the AR wasn't such a little bitch. it literally can't take hard ammo. A weapon of war can't take ammo that is too hard.
