I'm moving to Japan to do my masters in software/systems engineering there, get a gf while at uni, don't have to worry about money anymore, will get a part time job simply to not feel useless there but I'll already have the money to back my life.

Then when elon starts selling private space tours I'll buy a ticket.

And lastly after accomplishing my two personal dreams, with money still generating from my investments I'll start an orphanage, it's always been my dream to take care of orphan children, I'll even let them get my surname if they don't get adopted.

I need to get enough money to do all that stuff though, I hope I will, I personally don't have any real needs for materialistic things I just want a loving wife and be able to take care of children, the only really selfish dream I have is being able to see space, but honestly commercial space travel in a few years will be relatively inexpensive.

This is why you lads wont make it.

Because you fantasise about 'making it' when youre all just lazy bastards not actually doing anuything.

Your idea of 'making it' is getting rich from sheer dumb luck (that ships sailed with crypto) and then retire and become a NEET. These types ofp eople will never be successful. Even if some obscure uncle dies and gives you his 100 million dollar fortune you still wouldnt be successful. Making it is a mindset. Gambling on lotto tickets does not make you a winner.

We have to remember that these chicks are allegedly the top of the top and command top dollar. They might as well fit YOUR taste.

Some of us here actually have starting capital and don't need to parlay 3+ 10 baggers just to make it to 100k.

That literally happened with Bitcoin though? It happened before in the dotcom bubble and tech stocks, and it will happen again, and again after that. I get it, you need to believe in some sort of just-world scenario where hardworking people are the ones who get rewarded. The reality is that plenty of idiots make money from lucky high risk investments. To act like some people on /biz/ won't make it, or already haven't is ignorant. It's nice when you go to the beach bar and you have a friendly bartender or you go to the coffee shop and the workers there don't look like the want to commit suicide on the spot like in the northern european countries where everyone has this stoic look because they are tired of the 7 months of darkness. People in those Mediterranean countries even with their political problems live fairly well. They eat well, get sun, can go to a nice beach. Meanwhile I'm here freezing my ass off in the darkness.

My parent's house. Why tf would I ever pay rent even if I made it? Dumbass

>> No.22333609

Probably an apartment building I own. If I'm older and had a family I'd probably just get a cheap home in ohio.

>It looks like vinyl wrapping.
Yeah, I noticed that after I posted the picture. Pretty confusing considering how expensive the place is.

Simple 3 bedroom double brick (exposed) with a wood-fire stove, wrap around veranda and 100k litres of rainwater. Still have access to mains power but with solar power, battery and generator as backup, maybe a small wind turbine. Situated the side of a hill overlooking 3-4 acres of land where I can have a small flock of sheep, a dozen chickens and grow fruit trees. I am a simple man with simple wants.

I would love to be involved in hand building my own home the way my grandfather did, but I would be worried that the house would be left with flaws due to mistakes that an experienced builder wouldn't make. But I guess, if you have made it, you could hire the builder to oversee what your doing to help avoid that,

Look up some videos about framing a house with wood- it's like a big lego set where you make the pieces yourself. I will be learning how to do these things in the time until I make it so that I can swing into action once I have a down payment ready to go.

Start with small projects. I'm making my mother a gliding patio chair soon when I have some time.

I don't trust wooden houses. Too many bushfires in the region I want to live. I want a cottage made of brick, steel and concrete. Only decorative wood on the inside.

I will be building an off grid homestead compound for myself and close family and friends. Planning on using insulated concrete forms for extra stability and to help with energy efficiency. Mix between modern and classic ranch style, with a focus on directing views to the beautiful landscape and nature on the land I build.
