Why does nothing feel better than gambling? Why does it make you feel intense?

I've lost over 7-10k playing poker live and online, I never figured out when stop and take profits and manage my money. I was up probably up 100-500% a night on 1/2 2/3 tables and rarely walked away ahead. I was never happy making 2-4 hundred a night always wanted more. It's a shame because people hated playing with me.

Same. But i play so sparingly that i found it to be a waste if i only played an hour then cashed out. Also NEVER play online, i have a friend who is very high up at one of the top online poker sites. He said at minimum they are all rigged for action, which in itself should make you not want to play on them. He also told me (which i already suspected) that anytime you look up on google “is online poker rigged” or something similar its filled with answers from them. So obviously they all say “no hurrr durrr its perfectly legit”. I mean you have to be an absolute fucking retard to believe its true to real live poker.

I'm not a professional, but I'm adapt at card counting and have all the software for simulations and training to do it very well, and I have studied poker for years. I don't really feel any emotion or thrill when i "gamble" cause I'm aware of the math and variance involved.

I'm sure if i ever made it deep in a live wsop event or whatever I'm sure I'd feel something
