Is dropshipping worth it nowadays or is it just a scam.

>> No.22282181

Just get into a cook group, dropshipping isn’t worth it

People buy from me all the time on e-Bay to ship to their customers. Usually it's toner cartridges. Probably selling on Amazon and filling the order through e-Bay. Seems like a bad idea because most e-Bay sellers are shit. Drop shipping was something in the early 2000's. Now people are private labeling or working directly with Chinese manufacturers for their own products.

What is a cook group?

>> No.22282273

>>22282237
It’s a group that basically tells you when collectible items and other high demand things come out with high resell value, usually it’s in a discord server

It does work, but its a lot of work and there's a lot of competition. I made $12k in Mar/April/May (revenue, only about $2.5k profit), then stopped for the summer because I didnt have time and didn't want to be burning money testing new products. My winters are basically spent inside hibernating though, so I'll probably start selling more stuff again then.

Dropshipping will always be viable, but it's not like 2015 where you can put some random $1 chinkshit on a one page Shopify store for $20, run some FB ads and pull in $1k/day

You have a link to one you don't mind sharing? Sounds interesting.

Yeah figured that and that's why I was asking. Seems as the time goes on it just gets less and less viable as the market gets saturated.

He's not going to give you that. I wouldn't either if I was in one.

There will always be angles, it just might be non-traditional. The first thing you'll find is that everyone in this game safeguards their products/niches fairly closely. Just look at the anon above selling toner cartridges.
I'd definitely niche down rather than trying to make the next Amazon.

I'm not really an expert, but just learning general marketing, email marketing and basic ad strategies helped me a lot. Ive had sales jobs too which definitely helps, but copywriting honestly isn't that hard, and you can mostly just copy your competitions ad formats
