It took me like 2 hours to send to bittrex with a .0001 fee.

>> No.2226496

bought some at an ATM about 2 hours ago and it was in my wallet by the time I got home (15 mins)
not sure what all the bitching is about

>> No.2226506

Actually it was .001 fee on a 0.80 BTC transaction. But it was faster than I expected with all the complaining. I thought it would take all day.

>> No.2226511

>>2226423
right now higher the fee faster transaction time

in future hopefully payments will be instant and ultra cheap thanks to lightning network

>> No.2226517

>.0001 fee.

I was mistaken my fee was .001. DONT send it with a lower fee.

>> No.2226545

>>2226490

nvm. You're as fucked as I am if it's .001.

>> No.2226558

I won't pretend to understand anything about how transfers are carried out, but why not use a lower fee? I understand it has something to do with delay and transfer speed?

Less secure or something?

>> No.2226592

>>2226558
Miners will include transactions with higher fees first in their blocks. I'm not certain how low your fee has to be for this to happen but I hear stories of people's bitcoin getting stuck in limbo because of the back log.

>> No.2226599

>0.001 -> 30 minutes - 2 hours
>0.0001 -> 2 - 3 days
based on my own transactions in the last days

>> No.2226626

>go to a burger joint that accept bitcoin
>$ 5 burger
>$ 2.5 transaction fee
>have to wait 2 hrs for confirmations

Please tell me this is not what the devs had in mind when they started the project.
Where's the promise of "fast and nearly free"?

>fast and nearly free

what started as a good coin has turned to the usual. Solvations are avaiable for this specific problem. The greater problem are the miners and other political matters within bitcoin-theshitcoinNightmare

did you get fucked in the ass with like a 9% fee? the only one in my city has this and I really really really don't want to have to go to it tonight for ICOs this next couple of days but nobody is verifying me. really fucking annoying anons.

among most of the newcomers bitcoin is actually quite the dinosaur
it's tremendous value comes from it's adaption.. which most newcomers yet lack

And you guys thought the cashing out meme was a joke.

what's the go-to site for ongoing and upcoming ICOs?

what's so great about mysterium or BAT?

>> No.2227434

I put .99 BTC on bittrex and it took around 24 hours to fill its 2 confirmations
