It’s not an investment. It’s a store of value. You hold some as a hedge against inflation, societal collapse, or both. Most asset price increase is just a reflection of the dollar losing value.

Silver is going to go up 50% in the next six months to one year with very little to zero risk of missing that price target. It could go higher, for 200% gain with 20% probability of hitting this target. Wild optimism has 400% gains. Gold is poised to go up 50% to 100% in six months to a year. Silver will outperform gold but will have higher volatility. Mining stocks are a good purchase if physical metal is unavailable. Buy GOLD and PAAS stock to get even higher returns than 50%. Sell sometime between 2021 to 2023 when you hit your profit targets.

more than anything, it's about removing the psycho-emotional conditioning that comes from having grown up in a fiat economy. When your decisions are no longer pegged on how much is in your bank account, and you actually have you own money in your pocket rather than a line item on someone's spreadsheet, life looks completely different. You make decisions differently. You see the economic game for what it actually is.
It's the same with crypto and with massive land holdings and such. if you have significant holdings in an asset class that is not dependent on the fiat economy, you start to understand what money actually is: time and freedom.
fiat $$$ inflate away at about 10% a year. That means that, relative to just holding cash in your bank account, you are earning 10% a year just holding gold. 10% guaranteed returns, annually, and you actually own it. It's actually yours. it's more than just exposure to a different sector by way of speculating in some asset class that people say is a good hedge against inflation. it's about actually having your wealth stored.
Imagine you're a wizard and you figured out how to store magic power in some rocks. everyone else is busy threatening each other with sticks and stones, and you're just sitting there, stockpiling shining magic rocks, getting more and more power. it's the only safe way to actually have money in your account. Everything else is just funny money and lies.

Its harder to give in to buy foolish things for fiat, since that fiat is easily better off exchangiing for much more valuable pms.then once you have the pms, its even harder to give up for follish things.

unless you have several hundred thousand worth of fiat in PM, you're just larping with a glorified coin collection.

You should definitely believe the faggots here trying to tell you not to buy any PM man, they certainly know what's going on, much more than the world's banks that are not only gobbling up every gram of gold they can see, but also stacking tons on tons of silver bullion while using shorts to suppress the paper price at the same time. I'm sure random fucking faggots on this site know much more than the bankers 1 degree of separation from the levers of power do, which is why you totally should buy the dip on Tesla, get into land lording despite eviction freezes, and buy a bunch of Tbonds whose yields can't keep up with inflation.

See the problem I have with gold is even after 40 years its still underperformed compared to a copper mining company like SCCO. Check the charts yourself, but investing in SCCO in the 90s is a 1000% + return today not accounting for dividends. Gold and gold miners are at half or lower during same time period. So unless you really think the SHTF moment is coming and you have military skills + guns gold may not be a bad idea. Otherwise youre probably better off just buying stocks. Gold wouldve still got a great return over the time period above, but it's not the best. If you don't have a sizable stock/crypto holding already AND you DON'T believe in SHTF then build up the stock/crpyto. If you DO then buy some gold every paycheck. Just be aware its at ATHs and you may very well see some heavy corrections if shit chills out.

This is the key. Also, once you stop thinking like poor and start thinking like money, you understand that minimization of tax burden is numba 1. You do this through transactions via exchange of asset classes and never touch fiat if you can help it.

>>22192733
you're still pegged to a fictitious monetary system as an anchor. it's okay, the rest of the world is, too, but it's an illusion. I hold six figures fiat cash because it's liquid and I'm waiting to buy in at a discount. I hold a percentage of that in PM because of the same reason. It's a matter of assessing your wealth by way of liquidity and availability of transaction. Case in point: I tried to swing some AMPL the other day when it was $2.5 for a nice 5x, but I'm a cheap fuck and didn't want to pay $120 gas fees on Uni. I sent the AMPL to kucoin to transact, but it took 5 hours to shift. In the meantime, it had dropped to 1.3 and what the hell I'll just wait, ready for the next time. I didn't think about the price of liquidity to effect my transaction.

The price of liquidity for holding fiat is basically an unknown variable for most people, and yet it's a foundational element of currency as such. All PMs do is enable a mindset shift. They don't solve personal problems like inability to professionally detach from trades, or addiction to gambling, or being too pussy to sell, or learn from mistakes.
If holding some PM makes me a larper, I guess I'll wear a cloak. larping at what? Rich is a mindset, it's not an identity.
