All it took was a month with no second stimulus for the wheels to fall off. Does Trump actually believe his bullshit about the "SUPER V" recovery? There is no recovery. We've been living off stimulus making up for the collapse in demand and now that's dried up. If we don't get round two immediately, shit is crashing hard.

It should have been pretty obvious to anyone that this was going to be the case. Not sure why Trump confidently did the EO and let the matter subside. Did he buy his own bullshit about the recovery> Did he really think we were recovering? Fucking idiot should get it as should his advisers that there is no recovery and the only thing keeping this thing from collapsing before the election is neetbux. He's going to lose and they are going to fuck him with prosecutions. If he had any sense and balls, he'd order the Treasury to borrow and send out stimulus checks. Who the fuck cares if it's not Constitutional. Laws don't fucking matter in this clown world anymore. Just do it and dare the Dems to stop him. Send out checks with his big fucking face on it making the CHYNA face.

You mean the recovery that we never really had from 2008? It's all created by loose monetary policy. We have zombie corporations cannibalizing others. We have a debt to GDP that can't every be repaid without inflating the debt down. We are at a terminus point. There was never any "recession" in the books. We are going to melt up or melt down. There is no good way out. But there is a sharp pain that will light a conflagration or a slower acting poison that could maybe give us a soft landing until they figure out some reset.

The banks have been tightening credit in order to force more concessions from DC. When lending starts to dry up, the expansion stops. We are a debt based monetary system. If the borrowing slows down, shit falls apart quickly. Wall Street will get what it wants. The question is, will Trump give it to them or will they let the market crash so that Biden will win and give it to them. Either way, they get what they want. What they want is more stimulus and bailouts. Might as well, because the debt will never be repaid at this point. We are past the point of no return. Rates can never rise or it all completely collapses. The only hope is inflating it away and that's a whole other bag of pain and disaster. Pick your poison.

I'll still have enough for personal use in any possible boog, but I'm definitely gambling on Teflon Don sliding a win. I'm not partisan, my observations are that everyone blames Trump for corona/shutdown/etc but his opponents are all lukewarm on Biden, I think even with all the fud it'll be an incumbent win. Not just manufacturing, the service industry has been wrecked and that's a huge portion of American workers. Waitresses and entertainment venues and gym staff and all those kind of people are being laid off. They keep trying to reopen restaurants and scale up and then scaling back down, my server friends have been repeatedly hired and then let go as the restaurants try and fail to get running again. Manufacturing etc collapsing too so it comes from a bunch of directions, and the failure of one sector starts to fail another. I'm in tech, half our consulting contracts have fallen through because the companies we were going to do stuff for suddenly lost revenue stream for improvement services like ours. That kind of thing is happening everywhere.

A lot of people seem to be upset that the economy was ruined because of Don, and then also concerned that we didn't do enough about Corona-chan, and their logic seems confusing to me. Opposite team also mad about economy and blames the libs. Whole lotta fud and blaming flying around, which is business as usual in and of itself, but the scale of things for this particular ride is pretty massive. 40% unemployment, printing money, stimulus checks, this is all pretty unprecedented as far as I can tell. Not sure where it'll land.

No idea how they are making housing prices keep going up, I'm happy for it since I need to do a cash out refi soon, but it's weird; I get that they can adjust interest but who is even buying houses right now? Demand should be destroyed with half the country out of work, I just don't get it.

1) Boomers retiring buying their Dream houses now that they don’t work and kids are out of the house

America does not have the will-power to stop a collapse. The initial 600$ checks and stimulus helped curb a lot of the damage in the Middle/Lower class, and the bailouts/loans helped big businesses/corporations. The checks are smaller, and haven't taken place yet in many area's. Add on to the fact, there are still large swaths of businesses/enterprises still on lockdown or on heavy duty (Mask laws, Social distancing bs) that's making them lose money. The small checks coming mid september won't be enough to keep this afloat, they're going to need to go hardcore on the money printer. Especially when, not if; when the 2nd lockdown occurs October-December
