Also if they're federal loans then the interest is low and making minimum payments on a 10 year plan is next to nothing with interest not even being that much. $152k for educating yourself? Why haven't you burned all government buildings to the ground yet, that's literally theft. People should be rioting like never before about this. There are countries who offer college for free, some even pay you to go there, because having qualified workers is in their best interest. bachelors (state school): $32k
med school (private school, quit after 1 semester): $45k
2 year masters (private school): $70k
total: $147k + $5k accrued interest = $152k

i live in PA/NJ. i make $70k/yr, realistically will make $85k within the next few years. like i said, i'm never paying it back because the bulk of it will be forgiven. total payments with projected salary on the minimum repayment plan is ~$185k + ~$40k tax bill = $228k total payments. yes this exceeds the loan balance of $152k but payments under a traditional 10 year plan would be $1700/mo, i can't afford that. paying the absolute minimum under forgiveness lets me save for 401k, for a house, for personal savings, for recreation, etc.

There's part of the problem. I quit my job early so I wouldn't make too much for the tax year so I'd get the full financial aid amounts I could get. >i'm 2 years into my career, niggerbrain.
You graduated 8 years ago. Were you just sitting around collecting food stamps?
>in another 1-2 years i'll be promoted to senior and make $85k.
That's great but that's what someone who graduated a state school should have been pulling a few years after graduating.
>another 2-4 years after that i'll have enough experience to apply for manager positions which pay $100-120k.
when i finish the CPA i'll make even more.
>it takes 10+ years to start making decent money
>still has well over 100k in debt
>flunked out of med school because it was "2hard"
>sat around doing fuck-all for 6 years despite accounting jobs literally fucking everywhere
>thinks he's gonna get his CPA
