Yes, you sell. Then you have two options (if you think it will still go up).
1. Use (some or all profits) to rollover new further dated calls with a higher strike
2. Buy ATM (or near the money) at much closer dated calls at lower strikes than 1 to ride current momentum.
You do 2 if you think the volatility is high right now and could go down. You do 1 if you think volatility is low right now and could go up in the future. If you don't like weeklies at all, which is understandable because FUCK THETA, than you can wait instead of going for 2.

If it is first earnings you can sell all you need to recover principal. Then what is left is a few shares that are "house money". Most IPOs tend to zero over time which means they are overpriced at the beginning. This usually becomes most clear after first earnings.
If the ticker itself is good you might miss the first pump on good earnings, but it should keep going up after that point anyway.
