40 hours is a joke. I would watch my boomer boss across from me when we still were at the office and estimate he did less than 2 hours of actual work per day. how the fuck do i get jobs like these? all my experience is in repair work because I just somehow fell into it. A temp job I worked put me on electronic assembly and next thing I knew a couple jobs later im a fucking level II repair tech. The pay is far better than mcdonalds but I don't want to actually physically show up for work. How the fuck do I escape this shit? I've been trying to get into IT what feels like forever now and am going back to school for CS so at the very least I have a piece of paper saying I can do more than repair machinery.

I don't even know how I wound up in this position. If it wasn't for my LINK stack I'd have to be waging right now but thankfully I've been NEET for half a year. It isn't sustainable though and I can keep this up for about a year unless LINK moons in that time

Documenting your process is valuable man. I do the same thing. I'll put dozens of entries under something as simple as reconfiguring a phone.

I also write documentation when things are slow so I can have easy references for myself and customers. It's at the point now where customers have a problem, and I shoot them an email with my doc which helps them fix their problems 8/10 times.

Work smarter, not harder.

I got a degree in Management Info Systems which is like the bastard child of management and CS. I think the most important thing I did was get an internship in my 3rd year and I started looking for a job the first semester of my Senior year. I actually took a pay cut to get that internship (17.50 at pizzahut as a driver --> 11/hr as a help desk tech for my university) but the resume experience made me stand out (and my high GPA). CS is a great degree to have but equally important is experience. Honestly your repair tech experience will help in getting into IT as long as you can spin it on your resume as problem solving and shit.

You need to change fields obviously. IT or Finance are good candidates. I'd recommend building up a specific niche in terms of skillset so that is difficult for your manager to tell if you're bullshitting when you say a 5 minute task will take you all week. My background is data science but I'd also recommend

>database admin
>finance analyst
>supply chain analyst

Any kind of public sector or government will be your go to. They are years behind the private sector in terms of technology, best practice and workloads. Here you will have by far the best chance of getting away with doing absolutely nothing

I don't know the best way to do it coming from the outside, but if you can find some way to get ServiceNow administrator certified, you will have tons of job opportunities. It's in huge demand, like once I put it on my LinkedIn I get unsolicited interview offers like 3x a week. The work is incredibly easy, it's basically just knowing your company's instance and being able to figure out simple javascript. However, boomers can't do that, so you'll be in a great position.

If you're American and want government work look up US DoDD 8570 and 8140 certification standards. Any certs for IAT II can get you a cozy job. Told them I don't feel comfortable on a webcam so I only have to do voice. I have check idle time on alot of employees and they are doing the same thing as me or I check their internet history and they spend most of their time on youtube or twitter. Depends on what you want. If you want a desk job, do help desk or junior dev depending on what skills you have. Help desk won't require coding knowledge. And don't buy into the tech cabling nonsense. Those jobs only exist for the shit IT doesn't want to do and hires contractors when its like 100 degrees outside. So, fuck that shit. I'm a senior network admin. Shit is comfy. I have a help desk under me and the dude doesn't even know how to setup VPNs in win7 and gets paid 45k. But help desk is a suck hole. Ultimately you can only be satisfied being lazy if you are... well lacking.
It's a case of the human or the pig anon.
Look at the pig. He eats all day. He wallows in his own shit. He fucks. He is happy.
Look at the man. He struggles.

But seriously it's part of the struggle of life man. I realise you're probably trolling but if you genuinely don't understand this concept you're going to lead a regretful life.
Imagine if you hadn't learned how to read. That'd be nice right? Learning to read sure was hard. Could have just played with your dick all that time. Beat it off to Mrs.Goodbody the home ec teacher.
But if you didn't know how to read you couldn't go on 4chan.

Ohnonono. I am working here to have income to invest/trade.
I don't borrow money. Ever.
And your attitude exemplifies my point perfectly.
>How are you going to cope
I'm going to cope because I am comfortable in discomfort.
This idea that you can just be lazy and comfortable is not reality anon. You cannot "cope" with the idea that you will miss out. You cannot "cope" with the constant nagging knowing that you could lose your comfort.
The only way to be comfortable is to be in hardship and survive. I do not fear these things that you do because I already exist in those realities and I'm still ticking along.
In a lot of ways your attitude is precisely what is wrong with society.
There are not enough men in the west.
This idea that women hate men these days is nonsense.
Women hate boys. Men hate boys too. They are a drain on society. And you are a boy. Anyone who wants to do nothing and lives in fear of work and hardship is a child/boy. Be a man. The ironic thing is you will actually feel better not worse.

Max 3 maybe 4 if actually got stuff on.

My typical day is -

Wake up 8am, eat breakfast and watch TV/News till 9am

Log on so Teams shows me online... Check 4chan till 12.

Enable my mouse mover whilst making lunch so people think I'm just working hard "heh eating a quick lunch today" if anyone asks - actually spend an hour+ cooking and eating

It's now 1pm... Too late to do start or do anything now, so just dick around on my computer or have a nap.

Keep mouse mover going till 6 - "heh putting in extra hours" if anyone asks

>anon good job you're working super hard !
