The market can't collapse all at once in one day because circuit breakers exist. If we hit a circuit breaker tomorrow you should absolutely sell everything the moment the market reopens, because everyone else will and it becomes a self fulfilling crash. Then when we DON'T hit circuit breakers and the dollar stops climbing (the dollar will pump like mad during a real crash) buy the fucking dip.

No I don't, and we'll know when there's a lot of red and a lot of screaming and the market stop moving. The next crash could be tomorrow, next year, or next decade. Too much is hidden from public view to fully assess the market. All I can say is we probably won't have one circuit breaker and then a quick recovery, because a circuit breaker puts a purely artificial cap on selling pressure. The market tends to keep dropping after breakers and won't recover until they stop.

>In this, the 2019 edition of the Crude Oil Forecast, Markets and Transportation report, the Canadian Association of Petroleum Producers (CAPP) provides a constrained outlook for Canadian oil production from 2019 to 2035, as producers face a broad and increasing array of challenges. If these challenges are not successfully addressed then any meaningful increase in oil production will not be achievable, ultimately reducing potential growth in Canadian GDP, business investment, exports, and jobs. Oil supply in Western Canada already exceeds the transport capacity of pipelines to serve external markets, with the result that Canadians are not receiving the full value for our resources. While rail will play an increasingly important role in transporting western Canadian crude oil to regional refinery centres, significant additional pipeline capacity is needed for the Canadian industry to capture growing oil demand.

You need to look at premiums as a percentage of the movement. You can sell a MSFT calls for $100 which is only half a percentage movement, but for BAC you could sell for $25 and that implies a whole percentage movement.

For example (not actual calls, just for illustration purposes)
MSFT = $200, sell a call for $100, implies it will move to $201. 1/200 = 0.5%
BAC = $25, sell a call for $25, implies it will move to $25.25. .25/25 = 1.0%
When you sell covered calls, you want high volatility, then you just sell out of the money. You are the guy selling lotto tickets to retards.

I can't complain about beating the S&P 500 but in the greenest market of all time, people just keep repeating the same thing to me. Just go all in on tech long calls. I want to do it so badly.

The only reason I'm able to make 3-4% weekly returns (sometimes a bit better) is because well, we're in the greenest market ever. Basically, I'm not so sure anymore that I'm taking full advantage of the market enough.

And it's worrying to me since it looks like the retail euphoria is really, REALLY kicking in now with the Apple and Tesla stock splits. Even Microsoft moved last week on the TikTok news, as if it was a fucking penny stock.

I just don't know anymore guys. It feels like the moment I do something like go in on AMZN calls COVID will suddenly get cured and SEARS will become the new hottest online store.

The peaceful transition of power in American democracy is why America is such a good place to do business. Because as you've said, it doesn't matter which boomer wins. America is free, stable, prosperous, and a great place to invest. By contrast, Argentina and Venezuala are shit places to invest. Because at any point the military might just come by and steal your shit, steal the election, change the flag, and kill a bunch of dissidents. I'm not worried about Biden or Trump winning, I'm worried about 1930s Weimar style streets violence and a failure of the electoral system.

I don’t believe that anything short of an actual coup or armed rebellion will have long term effects. Even if the election is contested, as it was in 2000, things will eventually even out. That being said, what are your current plays? Are you planning on shorting nearer to the election?
