Started my web dev job today after looking forward to it. I get good pay, I get a company car, and solid benefits. But today after the first day I can't help but bitch moan and complain. I didn't quite 'enjoy' it so I am depressed that I will not enjoy anything in life ever again. Like, what the fuck? How do I get it through my thick skull that it's a JOB, I'm not supposed to LOVE it especially not after 1 fucking day.

Do you enjoy your job?

it's your actual self trying to break free from your conditioning anon

just be a good cuck and accept the wagecage. From how you type it's probably already too late for you.

Cool salary man. I agree

I guess the main thing is I have never been really uncomfortable in life and thus never realized that 'all good things require work' like they don't just fall in your lap.

So I thought eh I'm just going to enjoy my job and today on day 1 i didn't enjoy it massively so I was immediately disappointed. It's a very 'modern' thought, I guess. Very entitled and weak. But I needed to vent.

look basedboi what I'm trying to say is that my life has been extraordinarily easy - the government has been paying me to be a student (EUropean) and off of that money I've barely ever studied, passed with good grades and traveled to Japan, lived there for half a year, and explored some more of the world.

Then today was the first day I realized all that happiness and do-nothing-get-paid came to an end and that I have to deal with bitchy customers and invade their servers to fix their shitty problems.

And I realized work isn't meant to be constantly making you smile, but you gotta fucking grind sometimes and push through. And I never had to do that.

So it's hard. So I wrote this.

thats just the natural progression from carefree 20 year old exploiting government gibs and chasing bitches to demoralized 30ish wage slave. its perfectly normal and mostly unavoidable why do you think /biz/ is hoping to get rich on crypto

NEET here who went back to med school and became a resident this year.
Being deprived of your "always free time" is stressful and painful atf irst, (provided your job is not total shit) meeting new people, acquiring a status, becoming better at something and helping others ultimately make up for it.

The biggest problem with NEETdom is that you stagnate and rot
I know some here will LARP how they spend their days bodybuilding, reading Kant and traveling the world but the vast majority does nothing but consoom entertainment like video games, series, anime and porn.

I guess you're right - I do have several side ideas that I will definitely work out so who knows what will happen - but I will do my best to be as engaged and proactive as possible to spend as little time as possible in the early stages of disillusionment in this job.

May I ask how old you are?
And I think you're 1000% based and rightpilled.
