yeah I used coinbase back in March. I was just getting back into crypto and needed an easy way. In hindsight I should've done coinbasepro or whatever but yeah. Even then it's still hard because my bank flags the transaction every time. How do you easily buy crypto otherwise?

Nowadays Coinbase is sharing user data with 3rd parties and even government instances. That wasn't the case 2017 as far as I know. No clue if it's worth mentioning

Coinbase is good for normies who just want to try experimentally invest in crypto (bitcoin mostly). But jesus christ the amount of errors and bugs they have is fucking insane. I quit after I tried buying eth and they charge me but never gave me the crypto. Customer support is also slow.

Because you need coinbase to successfully cash out and prove what you owe for taxes. You get what you pay for.
