coffee shop in a CA college town.

blue line is 2020, purple line is 2019. overall pretty good. i closed for about 2 months when covid first hit. we're about the same as last year right now, but sept-november is when i normally make most of my profit for the year since the college campus brings lots of people, but there's no in-person classes now.

i'm hoping to just break even this year. PPP loan was $24k, hope it gets forgiven.

When it comes to small businesses it really matters more where you are than what you are doing.
By that I mean that in the wrong country you gonna get raped by taxes/government or by corruption/proxy government.
So all in all unless you live in specific few countries with lowish taxes/regulations and a good judicial system, opening a small business is a one way ticket to becoming a pink wojak irl

I'm a Britfag (more unfortunately Scottish) and this is essentially why I'm not considering owning a business in this tax-ridden shit hole ~ you are correct desu
