is "making it" getting cheaper?

20 years ago the idea of making it would be

now the "make it" lifestyle is

Feminism made it so that men are happier by just removing themselves from society. I struggle with this a lot. I dont really need much and could probably be happy in a cave with internet, a desk and a bed. It just feels like Im trying to make it because that's what I've been conditioned to feel like I have to do.

I consider my make it to be a large house, lots of land, a low body count loyal wife and 1-3 kids plus some form of secure passive income totalling 50-100k a year. And yes a fast internet and computer.
If I ever reached fuck you money tier (8 figures plus) I'd probably try fund ultra far right movements but I'd consider it to be a loss of money and not an investment.
