I came so close this summer with that one quartz vein I stumbled across, but the ores too nuggety, some parts are amazing values for Au (first assay came back 1.6Oz per ton!) while other parts were basically baron of mineralization. I ll find something sweet up there yet but it will take a lot more footwork. Pic related is the high grade stuff.

I switch it up every few years, lately I ve been living off the work from my own activity and contract work showing others how to mine or getting others sites setup properly. I ve been getting paid $150 an hour from one guy for the last 10 days getting his site figured out and teaching him how the mining game works. If I wanted to I could go back underground or go drilling but this is comfier work right now.

>While the Coast Guard called the exercises “pre-planned” and said that a notice about them was published earlier this month, fishing industry representatives argued that it was useless to them, because it was issued through a system they don’t regularly monitor.
>On Thursday, military officials said only that they were monitoring the situation, and that the Russian military exercises were taking place in international waters “well outside the U.S. territorial sea.”
>Experts say that the incident comes as the U.S. — not just Russia — has also become more assertive in the Arctic.

The craftsmanship is truly amazing to me. I wanted to just get what pleased me aesthetically untill I hit 100 oz. After that I plan on stacking purely based on spot.

Gold is a little out of my league as it took me about 8 weeks just to get to 70 oz of silver. Any extra cash goes towards ammo and basic living expenses.

silvergoldbull has a bullion jewelry section, it doesent have a lot but has more rope chains (mostly bigger than mine) and since they are 22kt they are taxed but the premium wasnt horrible I guess. mines 32grams and was 3400$ CAD, gold was ~2500$ and honestly, if your getting any jewelry without a decent premium, its gonna look like crap. premium on jewelry is basically paying for the craftsmanship in my opinion, and i feel like those premiums dont seem to diminish. gold jewley from Tiffanys is raped by premiums but people pay it happily, even for older stuff

>> No.22013911

>>22013574
Right. The short version is that the price is controlled in two ways: directly on the computers, via trading algorithms; and through high-frequency velocity trading (HFVT). The algorithms are not supposed to be able to directly control the price, in order to keep the whole thing under wraps, but when the market tanked in march, it was used to drag the price down in that big dramatic dip in a giant signal to the world that the stupid good times are over and everyone in the know needs to get their exit plan in place. It had the side effect of notifying everyone else, too. Ever since then, the regular algorithms have taken over with the intent to slowly let the price rise over a period of months. During the intervening time, HFVT has been used to indirectly affect the price of futures by using increasing numbers of electronic contracts being sold a certain price in order to "pull" the number up or down. The big whipsaws we've been seeing are almost certainly foreign state-level hackers battling over the ability to control the price point of HFVTs in order to create certain market conditions that allow a handful of big bullion banks to commit fraud on a massive scale and steal billions of dollars ever year.

I stopped at 2057 ounces. I was originally gonna stop at 2000, but I saw a really good deal the next month and decided to do one last trade.
I think 1000 ounces is more than enough. If silver moons like I think then it doesn't really matter if you have 500, 1000 or even 5000 ounces. And if silver doesn't moon then you'll feel like an idiot for having more of it.
So yeah, get to 1k and get out. Pretty much any schmuck in the western world can save that up in a few years. And then get on with your life and make more normal investments. I'm in the process of buying a farm now, actually.

You are right about anyone being able to save that sort of money. I know people that have millions in 'assets' (and huge debts) and don't even have a nice gold watch... or silver coin. It's not to say they are complete retards but they could easily buy a few hundred oz of silver and 3 or 4 gold coins and it's not going to make any difference to them but they do seem allergic to even the concept and worry about theft or loss. They can drive a 150k car but they are worried they'll get 10k of silver/gold stolen.

1 coin a week over years and years ends up being a pretty big stack or a 1/10oz gold coin monthly ends up adding to a heap long term. People mainly save in bricks and dirt and that's fine but it's not always. This is actually about timing and risk management and we are absolutely nearing the end of a cycle.

Most people have time compression and they can't see actual risks in even what I'd consider the near term let alone over their lifetime. I suppose I'm going to say what most people here already know: it's a shit show out there.

I think any 90% silver US constitutional or fractional coin is good value to have for "junk silver"
I'm wanting to add a tube of Silver Kennedy halves to my stack next.

no for the most part when your underground everything is coated in mud and rock dust, you dont usually get to see the ore unless your right at the working face. This ore came from a specific amazing discovery last year at the Beta Hunt nickel mine in Australia. several tons of high grade gold were unearthed by accident there. Pic is more of the ore.

that's practically unheard of. That's gotta be some extreme case where the owner stored barrels of gasoline in his house or something.
The average person truly doesn't need to fear losing his coins in a fire.
And frankly, a safe is a fairly risky place to put your coins, because any burglar immediately assumes there's something valuable in the safe. It's much better to leave your coins in the walls or under the floor boards or something.

they are down from june but still massive compared to usual

April: 31,666 contracts "delivered" for 3,166,600 ounces
June: 55,102 contracts for 5,510,200 ounces
August: 48,785 contracts for 4,878,500 ounces
Those three months alone total 13,555,200 ounces or about 422 metric tonnes. Is this a lot? It certainly is—especially when you realize that COMEX delivered more gold over just these past three delivery months than they did during the ENTIRE PERIOD of 2016-2019.

no, joggers don't mess with safes. a youtuber i used to watch all the time had his house broken into with like 50+ firearms inside. They found the pistol he kept between pairs of pants in his closet but never even touched his giant safe with everything else in it.

the police evidently told him this was normal, they don't fuck with safes. they just break in, rummage around loose items possibly, then grab whatever jewelry/electronics/drugs (prescription or otherwise)/easily fence-able tools etc that are laying around and GTFO

I'd feel safe keeping shiny rocks in a big safe. But obviously it needs to be bolted down so they can't just cart it off.

some anon in another thread recommended old paint buckets. i think thats a good idea especially if they're buried in miscellaneous junk in the corner of your garage or whatever.

if you're a mechanic or have mechanical interests, putting them in the bottom of a 5 gallon bucket, then filling the rest of it with nuts/bolts/misc car parts/etc seems like a good idea also. They'll weigh like 50-60 pounds at least and no one will want to rummage through them.

Its not something we should do for various reasons, but I heard a guy say once, that if he was going to bury something, he'd bury it off his property somewhere. I think he might've been an Australian or European poster talking about how when they confiscated peoples guns over there, they could search a person's property but that was it. So they'd bury shit in what we'd call national forests or public land. Or even just across property lines for that matter. Probably illegal so we shouldn't do it, but evidently that's what they did over there.

So you want to invest roughly 3300USD in gold as a buy and hopefully never sell?
Great idea, buy gold with low premium right now and forget about it. Low premium is everything under 3%, ideally you stay under 1.5% if possible.
Since your initial investment isnt huge, your gold should be old curant coins and NOT fractions of modern day bullion coins like American Eagle, Krugerrand, Maple etc. as they are too expensive.
Gold bars generally have a low premium when buying 1oz or bigger so forget about those.
I would advise to look into Sovereign, 2 Rand South Africa, 5.81g LMU coin (french, swiss, belgian), 20 Corona Austria, Wilhelmina 10 Gulden, 20 Reichsmark.

Price is always important, do not buy for high premium as that means less gold goes into your rainy day fund. Maybe add a tube of 1oz bullion silver Maple, Krugerrand whatever is the cheapest. Good luck fren.

>low premium right now and forget about it. Low premium is everything under 3%, ideally you stay under 1.5% if possible.

I've come to the conclusion that worrying about 2% vs 4% premium is a meme. A maple or a gold eagle will be easier to move, and will retain it's premium. A 1915 restrike might be hard to move in the future. Sovereigns and 20 francs are still nice because they are well recognized and may develop a numismatic premium over the future.

"retain its premium"
>that is the meme

No matter what happens, gold is gold, you will always get scrap metal value for it and that is the only way you should see your coins. (If you get more than that, great for you, but dont count on such thing now.)
Today you can, by choosing the right coin or bar, control how much gold you buy for your money and that is why buying for the lowest premium is important.
3300USD at current gold prices +4% premium will result in 50,30g of fine gold
when paying just 1.5% premium you will own 54g of gold.

So you miss out on 3.7g of fine gold.

They are not easier to move and you wont get more then AGW value, unless you sell privately to someone who buys into that meme.

I wrote about this a week or more ago. So many fags came out of the woodwork and said it's not going to happen - it's imposable for some faggy ridiculous reason. Well it just did. What happens when the bond kings roll into gold? And silver?

Silver will outpace gold and end up at unity or even overshoot. The world will be one fire. Super computer said so.

The first government to mint silver circulation coins wins the game.

Super computer does a lot of good work. I am saying that super computer says that if a (suitable) government starts minting silver coins they are going to win the game - big time. Some governments are putting pressure to restrict/reduce coin sales of silver and gold and what they are doing with new volume is hilarious. They are going to get their poop shoved in [eventually]. Of course, not all governments would win so hard, but super computer can think of a few that would rocket their economies by an order of magnitude at the right time.

>>22026828
There is some nuance to the super computer. Though, yes you are right, a gram is a gram. And a 1oz silver coin is typically $1 at the moment.

True, but I think we can assess within a certain margin what we could obtain keeping in mind of course that silver was plentiful then, we have more industrial uses for it now, and cost of manufactured goods has most likely decreased over the years due to advancements in technology. But here for instance is a stove for 13.95- using this just as an example of potential, and since a morgan dollar contained .7734 toz I think most anons who stack could expect to fully furnish a house, wardrobe, and anything else they might need out of life for 100 oz- whereas now buying a futon might be a big purchase for some people.
