College is a joke. To succeed in life its all about hard work and taking advantage of opportunities when they appear. Me: Retire at age 50 in full, no debt other than house. Paid vacation + sick time, get half day of paid leave to vote (mail in ballots still count), paid state holidays (Christmas/New year's,etc). Sitting on 80,000 and I ain't got a damn college degree at all. I'll be kicking back in 11/12 more years enjoying life while most others who have debt, stress, and bullshit out the ass have to work till 65. This virus has been a gift. Day trade SPY, hold it if it goes the other way, and realize that day trading is mostly bullshit and you're better off either swing trading or buy and hold. Most of the upward moves happen outside of regular trading hours so you're losing your edge and trying to beat the house.

I agree with Camus in principle that killing yourself would make the world more absurd but in practice it mostly just depends on how much you're suffering as trying to stick it to the unmovable universe doesn't account for much. I'm not a god, I wasn't even condemned by the gods. I'm a tiny speck that pops into existence for an extremely short period of time compared to the cosmic timeline.

sure, but i reserve that for having some kind of disease or mental affliction that is permanent and incurable or where you're basically just going to be tortured and killed anyways so you might as well skip the torture. but i feel like those scenarios are rare.

at the end of the day you have to fight to survive. yeah you CAN kill yourself but in most scenarios it's because you're weak. i've been through a lot of shit in my life so i feel like i've EARNED the right to be alive, and there are things i enjoy in life that make it worth living. if that isn't you then i guess kys idk lmao. in the end the weak will remove themselves from the gene pool, that's evolution for you. me? i'll survive and continue my pursuit of happiness as best i can for as long as i can. you only get 1 life you might as well enjoy it as much as you can. if you have a brain disorder, then i guess you just got an unlucky roll of the biological dice.

thanks. like i said i know from personal experience. there comes a point in the 11th hour where you have to make a choice, all on your own. i chose life and the pursuit of happiness. it's worked out quite well for me so far. i also chose God and Jesus but that's a whole other conversation.
