The United States has alot more debt that just what the corona virus tacked on, inflation devalues ALL that debt. The U.S. economy is out growing inflation and when the U.S. has a overall lower debt ratio the dollar is viewed by the world at large as more stable thus the value goes up.

Look up how first world countries around the world manage their debt they are all the same. Educate yourself in basic economics if you are going to invest your money, it helps to know how the lines moving affects things and how they respond in kind. It only takes five minutes of google searches to get a basic understanding of how the world economy works.

I discovered Austrian economics around 2006 and read Mises, Hayek, Rothbard, etc. Got turned on by the Ron Paul stuff and the doomcallers before the housing collapse. Legitimately thought it was over for the dollar then. Still not convinced we weren't actually close, but learned that the Fed has more power to keep this game going than I originally thought. Now, I assume it's very likely they can keep this going, but not without the effects bleeding through much more than last crisis. We could have 5 years of this, but inflation is going to be a dinner table conversation topic. They can't keep this inflated now without actual inflation. My barber when I was 11-12 told me about silver when the shop was empty and my dad was running errands. Eventually when I was able to ride my bike around I started buying some and there was a network of mom and pops I would go to that accepted silver. My barber even took it. They can keep it going, but they won't be able to stop the inflation. It will also cause countries to start to shift away from dollars. Not overnight, since the dollar is in everything, but the unwinding has already begun. We have no choice but to default on the debt by inflating it away. The world can't shake it's reliance on dollars quickly, but it will start to step away slowly. We probably have a few years before the dollar crisis, but it's inevitable at this point.
