The United States has alot more debt that just what the corona virus tacked on, inflation devalues ALL that debt. The U.S. economy is out growing inflation and when the U.S. has a overall lower debt ratio the dollar is viewed by the world at large as more stable thus the value goes up.

Look up how first world countries around the world manage their debt they are all the same. Educate yourself in basic economics if you are going to invest your money, it helps to know how the lines moving affects things and how they respond in kind. It only takes five minutes of google searches to get a basic understanding of how the world economy works.

I discovered Austrian economics around 2006 and read Mises, Hayek, Rothbard, etc. Got turned on by the Ron Paul stuff and the doomcallers before the housing collapse. Legitimately thought it was over for the dollar then. Still not convinced we weren't actually close, but learned that the Fed has more power to keep this game going than I originally thought. Now, I assume it's very likely they can keep this going, but not without the effects bleeding through much more than last crisis. We could have 5 years of this, but inflation is going to be a dinner table conversation topic. They can't keep this inflated now without actual inflation. Especially since UBI Lite is part of the solution.

Eventually when I was able to ride my bike around I started buying some and there was a network of mom and pops I would go to that accepted silver. My barber even took it. They can keep it going, but they won't be able to stop the inflation. It will also cause countries to start to shift away from dollars. Not overnight, since the dollar is in everything, but the unwinding has already begun. We have no choice but to default on the debt by inflating it away. The world can't shake it's reliance on dollars quickly, but it will start to step away slowly. We probably have a few years before the dollar crisis, but it's inevitable at this point. We either see a dollar crisis or the biggest asset collapse in history. One of those 2 things are inevitable in the coming years and it's up to policy makers to decide which path they want. Dollar crisis is worse in the long run, but actually easier politically in the short run. Given the quality of our current managers, I put my money on them taking the politically easier route of dollar crisis.

Fed is not printing money, only adding zeroes to reserve accounts

Fed is not able to create broad-based CPI inflation (yes I know prices of things I buy going up, that's not what matters to the markets)

Inflation that affects the bond market will only manifest once you have M2 rising AND lending growth. We only have M2, lending growth is fucking nowhere to be seen.

This is DEFLATIONARY (in the short term)

Powell knows it, he's scared, he's trying to convince everyone that inflation will now start to rocket up. It won't anytime soon, massive wave of defaults will cause the largest death of dollars in history. I'm a long-term bull on PMs but come on you guys, stop drinking the kool-aid and do some actual research here, it's embarrassing to read these threads sometimes

I'm starting to think that it might not be weak hands so much as predatory short-selling going on by the banks. Discovery Metals, 5 million shorts. Impact Silver, 2.5 million shorts. Same situation on all these stocks. They know they can't trash the price of metals too much at this point, because then the COMEX deliveries would wipe them out, so they go after the mining stocks instead.

You mean these,

The propaganda peacefully intensifies around Russia, China, East Europe and Mainland Europe. It's a real thorn in the side of the West. They can't imagine that people wouldn't want to live under their glorious version of Communism after already going through one version of Communism. And with that Master being the one that had the largest hand in destroying Mainland Europe twice and instituting an economic system that was very Tom Sawyer like and giving half of Mainland Europe to the Communists. Quite a victory. I am sorry, but the belief in American... and Western exceptionalism has run thin.

The Western strategy is of continuous failure while pretending it's the actual strategy and no matter how hard they try to turn the whole world into their plantation it will not work and the ultimate account settlement for all this will be severe beyond belief.

Things can always get worse, much much worse. Be thankful they are not at the moment and even when they do get worse, be thankful they are not even far worse.

I am from a family that has waged war for centuries and will continue to do such... but by the time my grand children wage war the world will be so different that the stories that will be passed down to them will seem a fiction. The things that would make me happy in the heart would horrify about 7.8 billion people.

Yes I am fairly certain that they will declare first some "temporary" UBI that might not carry the name similar to what they did with the unemployment checks in March. However, once they start on this road they will not be able to stop it. The temporary program turns to permanent as so often happens with government programs and FED is behind it all printing all the needed money. Obviously this would also mean even harder YCC than what is used today.

About you trying to get a job, I don't know man do you need money? I think the helicopter money is almost a certainty but I don't know if it covers the essentials for a living such as food and housing.

>Also do not buy gold for less than 1 ounce unless you like a certain coin or have some other reason. The premium fucks you over otherwise.
Poorfag here.
Most Poorfags see think that they way gold is situated implies if one does not buy into the PM market now than it will not be affordable period. When faced with the choice of waiting 4 months to buy a single gold ounce in a month at current levels or never being able to afford gold at possibly even higher levels than buying a few fractional grams sounds pretty appealing.

If you bought fractional 4 months ago you still would have come out on top a few weeks ago.

I either buy 45 ounces of silver in 2 months or wait 4 months to buy 1 ounce of gold. Few people in this situation are willing to fork over such a large amount of cash for such a small peice of physical material compared to countable sracking silver that holds the same value if there's enough quantity all while knowing silver will be traded more in any post collapse. Who is going to be able yo match gold in any trade? How will gold be measured region to region to ensure not one party is being manipulated out of its total true value? Fractional gold just like silver in this aspect makes more sense like its counter part silver. You going to cut up your gold ounces?

I'm not against buying gold what so ever, but this is whats going through fractional bros minds partially.

regular people are seeing none of that growth. I agree 5% inflation would be kinda sorta tolerable if wages grew by 6% a year or whatever. Nobody is seeing a commensurate increase in purchasing power except the finance, tech and managerial castes though. Everyone else is just earning less each year and making it stretch more to get by. Ironically, it's probably for the best that poors don't try to save money, because it would just get eroded to zero almost immediately due to the real inflation rates we are seeing (real, not that massaged-to-fuck core CPI figure)

Crackheads are reknown for stealing copper to sell for pennies, they steal brass plaques from gravestones and statues and shit..

I've scrapped copper and brass before and it takes a whole 50 gal barrel to make it worth while,

I know people who buy brass and copper below scrap price and then hoard it.

Pennies are way different because it takes a ton of time and effort sorting it all for literally 1 cent profit, it would be more profitable to spend that time working at mcdonalds.

I do like coin roll hunting, my gf works at the bank and always has people ordering 500$ in half dollars / quarters and look through it for silver then return the rest.

This used to be pretty lucrative but a lot of people caught on so there is way less in circulation nowadays.

>The American taxpayer just got raped supporting the disgusting practices of those in power.

>the mom and pop shops have all failed or been almost ruined.

>legally tied
NO! That's not what we need, more fucking laws. There should be ZERO legal protection from what these people are doing. BANKRUPTCY shouldn't be a "get out of jail" freecard when you still have several houses and a couple of yachts. If your company goes Bankrupt, YOU ARE RESPONSIBLE.

>Bankers should be executed.

Unironically all you would have to do is run a balanced national budget. Allowing permanent deficit spending creates a ripple effect of perverse incentives that ends up where we are now, the cannibalization of the real economy.

why do you think we stack physical? we know they manipulate it. but we also know it cannot last forever.

don't be surprised if "silver positions" end up going for pennies on the dollar while physical silver becomes literal unobtainium (while also somehow only worth ~$50 if you'd try to unload it at your LCS)

Fuck comex, fuck $slv. $PSLV and physical will be fine.
