same with this anon. 500k would be enough to just live out the rest of my life.

however i'd say about 1 million would be good because then i can pay off my mom's condo and also buy my sister a car, and still have enough for myself till i die

All I need is 2 xPOP token unironically. Literally costs less than $400 right now and has a strong potential to moon to $100,000 per token in about two weeks when they fully launch their platform.

2 million after taxes can be comfy asf for me. 1 million would work tho. I’d leave half a million in crypto for retirement and landlord in some best renters markets I could get 2% rent off of 150k In some cities. 3 properties, half a mil in the bank. Easy mode.

If I can go from full-time work to just part-time, I consider that a win. I don't mind living the poorfag lifestyle, having my living expenses covered and some extra spending cash for vidya and stuff and I'm good.

You want to live like Roman emperors?
600k is what a wealthy family in Thailand makes their whole life.
Putting 400k into SPY at 7% return a year will put you into the world's top 1% income wise.

200k invested and you will lead a comfortable life in Asia or Costa Rica.

Depends where you want to live and the lifestyle you want to finance.

Lets say you spend 200K a year. Well, stocks only give 1.83% dividend yield right now. Lets say another 1.2% is retained.

So you have a 3% real return (mix of dividends and capital gains) probably going to pay about 15-20% taxes on that.

So your after tax real return on stocks is like 2.5% at current valuations. You'd need about 40X whatever you wanna spend in perpetuity if you want to keep up with inflation.

So, you need like $8M if you wanna spend 200K per year. People think that's a lot of money for a shitty income, but you'd need a 350K salary to spend the same amount.

So, more than most people think. You could say real estate, but if you consider your time invested you probably aren't getting more than a 4% real cap rate. So that's $5M.

But yeah, you could do it for less, although its more risky since you're a lot less diversified. Maybe with leverage, you can get away with $3M, assuming you can get some solid returns.
