Late 2018 was when the Fed tried to let yields go up. Ten-year went to 3%, stocks immediately crashed from 26,500 to 22,500, Fed was forced to re-start Q. E. That's when you saw gold really start to soar. People saw that Schiff was right, and all the talk of normalization had been a lie.

2019 was when you had the repo crisis. Made people lose even more confidence in the Fed.
