LEND does nothing. It is not needed to use Aave. It's based on hype and speculation. However, Aave is a functioning product and most of crypto outside ETH/LINK/PNK is purely speculation, so it might go to a dollar before whales start selling and people begin to question why they're holding aave.

They need to find some use for their token and keep those usage benefits. Salts big fuckup was literally making the token not needed.

They won't be able to find a use for the token. There are already dozens of Aave clones waiting in the wings. To make any form of rewards to tokenholders would require inefficiencies at the expense of liquidity providers, who would just migrate to another platform.
